When you remove trash bag from desk do you walk about to you’re station and place it in trash bag? Or just take everything off the tablet place trash bag on floor sanitize hands then place main bag on you’re side? Sorry I mite be thinking too much about it.

Once you are done with the monomer section you will take the trash bag and original bag and you can put it into the trash bag that it’s taped to your main station or you can put it in the back of your main kit.

Question? Can the nail buffer have words on it. You know the kind that has step 1-4, as in the order you should buff the nail...or does the buffer have to be plain?

I was wondering. Can I take a nail finger pre prepped with a full cover tip thats been cut to match the plastic finger nail plate? Otherwise, using nail glue directly on the plastic finger never holds for me 🤥 but attaching the half cover tip ONTO the full cover tip thats the “natural” nail has worked wonders for me.

Hi you can absolutely prep the nail by laying a thin layer of acrylic down first before the test just make sure it looks natural … yes it does make the tip adhere a lot better and faster 😊

You most definitely can disinfect first I go back and forth I did it this way in the video we have had several students disinfect so well that the tape would not stick due to the table being to wet 😅 so yes you can disinfect first either way you will still be 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

i take my cosmo exam soon and one question i do have is if i need towels, hand sanitizer, trash bag & epa for my pre-exam set up, and i leave it out throughout the test, do i still have to pack towels, hand sanitizer & a trash bag for the monomer and polymer section? i’m not sure if i need to pack that as well even though im leaving those things out from the section before.

You will more than likely not be using the same station, but it’s up to you on how you decide to pack it . 🙂

for the primer and dehydrator that you have listed on amazon would you recommend that over the sally beauty secrets dehydrator and and primer and do those not need to be labeled for the test when i went to take the test last year the instructor lady told me that even though its clearly labeled over labeled odorless monomer she said still has to clearly see the under label unless i remember incorrectly , but she said that she was going to let it slide and let me take the test, and other people might not be as nice when she was inspecting at the beginning of the test what do you recommend i do for this time im kinda panicking about it and over thinking it

Hi The ones on the Amazon list I have up just in case someone does not want to purchase the odorless kit from Sally’s sometimes is sold out. But to answer your question for all of the products for the monomer section must be labeled by the manufacturer. No need for you to label if it’s clearly printed on there by the manufacturer 🙂, and your all black clothing and closed toe shoes will be just fine 🍀🍀🍀

Question do we sanitize the mirror only with the pre sanitation bag or for each bag/service?

Hi Not sure if you have watched all videos in order but yes hun you want to have towels in each bag , so no you do not re use them . You can use same cape for waxing and facial service , a new cape for haircut and a chemical cape for the rest of the sections . Hope this helps

If we’re doing the blood exposure part on our mannequin head, how do we remove the bandaid before the facial section without cross contaminating anything? Or do we have to have a separate mannequin for the facial? I’m taking my test via zoom this week and wanted to ensure everything flows well. I am using one table to take my test.

Hi Do not over think it after raising your hand that you are done and they acknowledge you that you completed the blood exposure you can remove the bandaid off the mannequin throw it away and sanitize your hands and wait for the next section or right before starting the facial section once they say you may begin remove bandaid throw it away sanitize hand and proceed to getting the things you need for for facial section 😊🍀🍀🍀 all will be good!! @@natashacolbert1421 tough question it really depends on you and how you decide to pack your kit. I suggest you check out the video of what’s inside the kit . 1…For facial and wax section same cape can be used 2. For haircut section cutting cape used 3. For permanent waving section chemical cape used And you can change again for the blowdry and thermal and keep it for the chemical services so that’s 4 capes . Some students change it for each section everyone does something a little different.

All disposables go into trash or the entire bag can go in bag if you choose, if you put back into your main kit sanitize hands every time and all should be good

She had us take out odorless product and finger and manaq first

hi I take my exam next week and for this portion I’m wondering if we disinfect the table before putting up the trash bag where do we dispose of the paper towels we used to disinfect the table 16:52

I give my students the option of taping the bag first to dispose of the trash . If you disinfect before putting the bag on…you just hold on to the paper towel . Try not to over think it everything will be fine.

Hi, Instructor said to have a nail tip already on the whole nail and place to act as the natural nail and then do a tip over that… do you recommend this? I haven’t seen any vids do this 😵‍💫😵‍💫

It depends on the Plastic finger that you get, if you get one like the one shown in the video you do NOT need to do what you mentioned. look for a finger with free-edge . nail supply stores should sell

This may seem like a dumb question, but for the implements being used, such as the butterfly clips, hairdryer, etc.. does it have to be a certain color? Cause if not all my stuff is gonna be pink😂😂

I am taking my practical next week I have two questions. The room that I am taking my test is not hardwood it is carpet . And I don’t have separate table and specific chair for nail is it fine?

If you have space on the table you can leave it on the table but the bag is pretty much empty, once done you’ll pack everything back inside it 😊

Do I have to add a tip to the finger before the exam? I was told I had to do that.

If your fingers doesn’t have a free edge like the one I used in the video than perhaps yes you might have to ..to make it look like a natural nail.

Im not sure what im doing wrong but i cant seem to get my acrylic to dry at all. Any tips?

If you are using odorless yes it takes a little longer to dry, but if your waiting to feel a complete dry finish on the nail when you touch it you will not… you have to after letting dry for about 3-4min buff the top layer off to get that sticky film off the nail like I did in the video.

What is the nane of all the nail stuff you used cause I know someone that went to state board with the wrong brands

They do not require a specific brand what they want is for the monomer to be Odorless and sometimes they do open the bottle to smell it, they also want the bottle labeled odorless by the manufacturer so in other words the students CANNOT label it themselves. Most nail supplies sell odorless kits/ Amazon is another option or Sally’s

You said to put the bag back into our kits but what if we don’t have space in our kit to put the bag back in there ?

hi , none of our students have ever had a problem with them having paper towels in the bag. yes you can take the roll of paper towels if you choose to everyone does something different.

my mannequin is a bit old and has blue stains on the face how i have no clue but would they allow that?

It’s hard to say the raters are very unpredictable in what they say/do my advice would be to find something to remove as much of the stains on the mannequin before the test. I doubt it’s an issue for it having a little staining but try to remove as much of it if possible 🍀🍀🍀

What brand of odorless monomer do you recommend?

Honestly no specific brand I bought both small products from a local nail supply store for under $15 you will only be needing a very small amount no need to spend too much or buy a certain brand , you just need it to be odorless and for it to say it on both product the monomer and the polymer 🙂

I have a laundry hamper that I put my trash bag in, and the hamper is labeled as TRASH, is that okay?

How did your zoom test go?? I live a couple hours away from my nearest testing site, so I think I’d rather do my test over zoom as well. What is it pretty thorough still, or do you think it would have been a lot different in person?

​@@MirandaHerrera-nx1kc It was great! since I get test anxiety it was a lot easier doing it over zoom. It was only 2 of us taking the test and the proctor on the zoom call! It was still pretty thorough , exactly how they would do it if you were to go in person. only difference is you won't have them walking around and coming up to you which I was nervous about . So I knew zoom was the best option for me! Good luck on your test, you got this!! :)

Your disinfecting before and after each section and trying to keep everything sanitary as long as you do that you will be 👍🏼 do each section the best way you can and all will go great for you!

No everything must be labeled by the manufacturer you cannot label it yourself for the monomer Polymer section they are very strict about that
