Texans S Jalen Pitre LAYS THE WOOD like Ed Reed: Film Breakdown
Спорт
In this film breakdown, we take a look at Houston Texans 2nd-year safety Jalen Pitre. He was one of the most productive safeties in the NFL last season, tallying 147 combined tackles, 5 interceptions, 4 pass breakups, 31 stops, and 5 tackles for loss. He is a very hard hitter, that has great instincts when it comes to breaking on routes, identifying plays, and meeting receivers at the catch point. Pitre has work to do when identifying certain route concepts, but I expect him to continue to improve in that area. Although he stacks and sheds blocks like a linebacker, and hits like it too, he had one of the worst tackling seasons in NFL history last year. He had a 20.3% missed tackle rate, with 36 total missed on the year. If he can become a more reliable tackler and last line of defense in the secondary, he could become one of the better safeties in the league.

him and ward are gonna be a crazy duo
I'm glad that I'm not the only one that thought that. He reminds me of Ed Reed. A little dash of Polamalu and the Honeybadger. Coach Meco bout to have that dude on one.

He reminds me of earl Thomas a little bit
Nice and fair breakdown of Pitre. He's aware that he comes in too fast in some instances based on his comments in minicamp. He has talked about being more patient when he closes in to tackle. Good film, enjoyed it.
He destroyed that Jags OL.
Thanks for the video man I really enjoy your content 🙏
he did all that with a coach that got fired just wait until he’s under that DeMeco defense
Excellent breakdown.
Neeeed more Texans content !!! Thank you for this
Love this analysis!!! Can you make a video on Kyle Dugger?
Great video your smart ❤
That was such a twist ending lol would not have guessed the tackling was that bad.

As a Houston Fan - I watched him all season and pretty much that was my only issue with him. To be fair the front 7 In Houston is terrible resulting in many plays where pitre is going to have have to make the tackle since all the linebackers and D line got blown up. I think he is one good tackling practice away from being a solid player
Love your breakdowns, I would love to see what you think of Frankie Luvu
I think DeMeco will fix a lot of that. Lovie Smith's Tampa 2 defense was pretty much archaic at this point, and it sounds like DeMeco wants our defense to get more physical. Plus Jimmie Ward's tutelage will help with these issues as well.
He's already top ten safety
I'm sure Coach Meco will get that cleaned up. 🤘🏿🤘🏿
Yeah so is Bryce Young and still nothing but praises for him already in the NFL before the regular season so screw those people who said this about Jalen Pitre.
Yeah pitre missed a bunch of tackles but he shouldn't have to tackle as many people as he did, our run defense was horrible
i say top 5 by year 3... lol texan fan tho
Cover tank dell
107 solo with 36 misses. 143 would be 2nd all time.
football term not be sexual slang challenge: IMPOSSIBLE
Pause 😂😂😂
He misses too many tackles giving up big plays.
