    Love my Blue Jays. Took the day off work to watch this. Most bizarre game I've ever witnessed. I think the biggest mistake was pulling Cole Hamels. That's what you traded for him for, was for preciously this moment. He's the modern day Curt Schilling. And look at the class shown by Hamels to his catcher. I love watching every single one of Hamels' starts. I think he learned a lot from Cliff Lee.

    Texas has become a snake-bitten franchise over the years. In 2010, they lose the World Series to the Giants in five games. They make it back to the Fall Classic the next year to face the Cardinals. They go from being one out away in game six to losing it all in seven. Ever since then, they have experienced nothing but postseason heartbreak. They lose the 2012 Wild Card game to the Orioles. They blew a two games to none lead to the Jays in this series and, as we've seen here, the comedy of errors and the Bautista homer led to their elimination. And of course, you have this season, where the Jays had their number once again in a three-game sweep. They went from being blown out in the first two games to putting up a solid fight in the third. However, it was an error which cost them the game. A bad throw to first led to Donaldson's winning run in the bottom of the 10th.

    The Rangers loss in 2011 is comparable to the Red Sox in 1986. They are the only teams to ever blow 2 saves in a potential World Series clincher. It may be worse because the Rangers blew 2 saves when they were 1 out away from winning in extras. However, the Red Sox retired the first 2, and had nobody on base when the second out was made.

    Beltre needs to throw that ball a little higher to Andrus at third. He threw him a sinker and yes, he still should have caught it, but it's easier to catch and get out of the way of the runner if the ball is up more.

    +mister8800 no, the throw was pretty much perfect. The baserunner wasnt all that close to the bag when the throw was supposed to be received, it was all on Andrus, no excuses the throw was right on the money he just dropped it :/

  • @mister8800

    @mister8800

    ***** I still said he should have caught it, but the point I was making was that it's an easier catch to make if the ball was thrown a little higher, which only someone who actually played sports, like me, would know. It's obvious that you hadn't if what I said made no sense to you. I believe Andrus should have caught the short hop at second from Moreland as well. You don't sound smart, so I won't bother trying to explain anything to you.

  • @chizzledich

    @chizzledich

    mister8800 Guys, this isnt worth starting a big youtube argument over. Point is, Andrus dropped the ball and the Rangers lost the game. As for the short hop I cant fault Andrus on that one, it would have been an extremely nice play if he was able to come up with it but when the throw is that short the idea becomes "just get in front of it"...honestly so many things went wrong in that inning I can only contribute it to the fact that basedgod gave the Jays his blessing.
