Correct. If the player's qualified grade is not already GM, if it is not a Promotional Exam for GM, or if the credit roll is failed, then the highest grade that can be earned is MasterM.

@supachik9 What he plays is only the invisible staff roll. Before he already completed the 'regular' Master Mode in 5:10:60. That's why the time doesn't move.

@Purtle28Patrick You miss out on a bonus to your grade for surviving. You also cannot earn the Grand Master grade without clearing the credits.

is this THE osk, like the tetr.io founder ?

  • @KitaruTC

Ah, this is not the developer of tetr.io :) This is KAN's KZread account -- he has many aliases or initials used across different machines (14, JSB, BWV, etc.). In this case, OSK is probably an abbreviation for "Osaka" (also mentioned as the filename in the video description). I don't know if that means it was played in Osaka, or if it is a general reference to "Osaka style" -- the supposed predilection of Osaka region players to play incredibly fast and loose, often pushing the limit so much as to make many holes and then freestyle downstack them.
