Testis or testicle (anatomy)

Ғылым және технология

Lets focus on the testes and have a look at the gross anatomy and the histology here. Knowledge of their anatomy (blood supply, lymphatic drainage, structures that surround them in the scrotum) is really helpful for a number of clinical reasons, not least testicular cancer. If we have a look at the cell types found in the testis you'll have a better idea of what testicular cancers can grow from.

    - The video is about the anatomy of the testes/testicles. - The testes are male gonads and are responsible for sperm production and testosterone production. - They are located outside of the body in the scrotum for temperature regulation. - The shape of the testes is important to recognize for detecting abnormalities such as testicular cancer. - The testes are connected to the body through the spermatic cord, which supplies blood, drainage, nerves, and the duct for spermatozoa. - The testicular artery is a branch of the aorta. - The gonads form in the posterior abdominal wall during embryonic development. - Understanding the anatomy of the testes is important for detecting abnormalities and understanding testicular cancer. In this video, the presenter discusses the anatomy of the testes, including their location, function, structure, blood supply, lymphatic drainage, and innovation. The testes are the male gonads responsible for spermatogenesis and the production of testosterone. They are located outside the body in the scrotum for thermoregulation purposes. The presenter notes that understanding the anatomical structure of the testes is important for identifying and diagnosing testicular cancer. The video also covers embryological development and the formation of the testes in the posterior abdominal wall. The presenter emphasizes the importance of recognizing the normal shape of the testes in order to detect any abnormalities or lumps that may indicate testicular cancer. Bullet Summary: - The testes are the male gonads responsible for spermatogenesis and testosterone production - They are located outside the body in the scrotum for thermoregulation purposes - Understanding the anatomical structure of the testes is important for identifying and diagnosing testicular cancer - Recognizing the normal shape of the testes is important for detecting abnormalities or lumps that may indicate testicular cancer - Embryological development leads to the formation of the testes in the posterior abdominal wall

6 months ago I received a blow to the right testicle. Yesterday I noticed that on my right testicle on the left side somewhere in the middle of the testicle I have a knot like a grain of rice caught right from the testicle. I only feel this knot if I press on the testicle, then I feel it stay stronger. Can it be normal? How many appendices does the testicle have? There are 2 epididymals and 1 testicle. I'm only 16 years old. Please help. Can a testicular tumor be as big as a grain of rice? can it be caused by the blow? I don't have any people with cancer or anything, please help me. can I have cancer if I am not exposed to any risk factors?

Hi vijaya Lakshmi, sorry for the late reply. Is it only the right testicle or both? If both, it happens sometimes due to the change of weather. For example if the environment is cold, the testicle starts to get close to the body or moving upwards to receive heat from the body. If it is a hot environment, then it's started to move downwards or far from the body to release heat to be in a suitable temperature.Fun fact that the testicle and our body does not have the same temperature.
