We've never charged any of our EVs - Tesla Model Y, Model 3, or Rivian R1S in New York City before, despite driving there all the time. It's impossible to find decent charging and there are almost no options for DC fast charging. This month though, everything is changing with the brand new Gravity Charging Hub in Midtown Manhattan. Since I needed to go in to the city anyway, I brought along the Rivian R1S and tested out this brand new model for urban charging. At 500 kW, it's advertised as the fastest charging in the world, but did it live up to the hype? Come along to check it out.
