Testing The Consistency of the Lyrique LIbertas II Bb Clarinet after the first stage of Processing

Фильм және анимация

We believe that playing consistency is one of the most important features of clarinet models, yet one of the most neglected by both many players and educators. These Lyrique Libertas II clarinets have just finished initial basic processing. Before they are sent to our customers each will once again be thoroughly tested and following adjustments will be made.
The point of this demonstration is to show just how little difference there is between the clarinets in respect to evenness of response, tone color, and evenness of resistance. Tuning was not in this test because of time considerations, but these new models, the Libertas II and Aurea, tune more perfectly, one to another, than any models I've ever played of any kind.
Part of this consistency is careful design, production, and processing. The other part is materials that can be manufactured with high consistency. This is what I think of is the genius of hard rubber.

I have great respect for your business. The care you put into making sure each one of these is just right is wonderful. If I could afford a second clarinet I would happily try one of yours. Maybe for my next one when that time comes around.

Are there any article or book dedicated to acoustics of the clarinet bell? I'll like to know parametric variables to tune a bell for specific results, not just test and more test. Where is the theory about this part wich explain the influence of lenght, diameter, thickness, curve profile, voicing grooves, kind of rings, etc in the sound results????
