TECH STUFF + ACCESSORIES I USE
✨ This artwork was created on a 5th gen iPad Pro (12.9”, 256GB) with a 2nd gen Apple Pencil using the Procreate app
✨ I use the Paperlike screen protector and pencil grips on my iPad Pro, more info here: every-tuesday.com/paperlike
✨ When not in use, I keep my Apple Pencil in the NimbleStand: every-tuesday.com/stand
✨I recommend any iPad listed here for working in Procreate: every-tuesday.com/ipads as they all allow for pressure sensitivity. I only recommend an Apple Pencil because of its reliability compared to other 3rd party styluses

This is amazing, Teela! Mind-blowing in every way!!!❤ I can’t imagine all the work that went behind creating this awesome tester and the class to accompany it. Thank you so much, I can’t wait to try it!!!
You have outdone yourself this time!
This is incredible! Love the ability to edit directly in the testing site
Amazing tool! Thanks so much for the tutorial!
Yess I need this course😍😍
Wow thank you so much for this tool! I can't wait to try it!
Thank you! What a great resource!
I’m going to get a lot of good use out of this technique. I like creating my own patterns for mixed media projects, so this will be so useful. Thanks Teela.

Ok
Hello Teela this is really fun to do thank you! Just an observation, you have your pattern on top of a layer filled with color so when you flatten the layers the pattern and color go together as one. I usually change color on the ‘background’ so my flattened image had no color in the background just black. 😅

Thanks for watching! This is on purpose and part of the process. It needs to be flattened for it to be previewed accurately using the pattern playground. All of my original layers are retained in my file - the flattening only happens for the preview, after that it's deleted and I still have access to editing/manipulating all of my layers 👍
Wow! This just takes things to a whole other level. I bought the class yesterday and I can’t wait to dive in. I have a question though. If you’re reaching your layer limit, can you just copy canvas and paste instead of duplicating and flatten the group? Is there a quality difference in doing it one way vs another? Thanks!

Yes! For sure! Both will work great :)
What size canvas do I need in order to take my drawing over to Kdp as my cover? Do I download as a jpeg or pdf? My book size is 6x9. Thanks
Hello, siempre uso tu probador de patrones!!! Pero hace unos días, no me funciona se habrá desconfigurado algo??😢 Tampoco puedo copiar capas entre un lienzo y otro, thanks
Hello! What color profile do you recommend for creating seamless digital files to be used for printing?
@EveryTuesday

I recommend the default sRGB, as that's what most online printers recommend + you're able to achieve more saturated colors on home printers 👍

That's a fantastic tool! Thank you for creating it!! Does it work only with procreate layers? No other apps? And only on ipads?
@EveryTuesday

Thank you! We developed it for iPads/Procreate, but it can also be used on any device where you can drag an image into it. 👍

@@dgsquare you mean your camera roll? If so, sure!

@@EveryTuesday yes, that's what i meant. Sometimes i make patterns in other apps, and i have the finished jpg in the camera roll. So i can just drag it in the pattern making app? Great! Thank you so much! Your course looks very interesting!
So does this tutorial teach it all, or is the course necessary for other tricks not mentioned?
@EveryTuesday

This video shows how to test patterns whereas the course teaches you how to *make* patterns 👍
hey.. i hope you're doing fine... i just got into pattern designing and came across your video but this website is not working ??

Did you go to patternplayground.com ? All seems to be working on my end
Wonderful! But doesn’t saving the image to your photo files only save at 72 PPI? One cannot use those files for sending to print. I guess you save your files directly from Procreate after you test the pattern out in the app? So that it’s at 300 PPI from Procreate?

Correct, this is meant as a tester and a resource for helping you round out collections/making mockups, etc. Not final art you would provide to a POD site or manufacturer. You would export the high res Procreate pattern square for that 👍
