ANNOUNCEMENT!! I have changed my mind on which app is the best. Since almost every comment under this video says that flipaclip is the best I started thinking. And conclusion: you guys are right! At this point I have had some more experience with these apps and flipaclip is the easiest to work with. ALSO MAJOR REASON WHY I CHANGED MY MIND is coz I can apparently only make 3 animations with the free trial of animation desk if you want to make more ya gotta pay and I was looking for FREE APPS. To me, I would say 1. Flipaclip: pretty good! I use it for animating most of the time. 2. Folioscope: As someone who is part of the folio community, I really like it! It’s a very nice community. 3. Animation desk: only used maybe once, not the best, didnt really understand. But it’s okay to me.

I'd say Folioscope is the best for me because it feels a lot easier with the basic tools that gets the job done and has a nice social community system in you can see other people's animations they drew but the only downside i don't like is that you cannot add sound to your animation. Unless you transfer a video file of the animated video you made into a computer and edit it with sound you want on a video editing software.

Quick tip! In flipaclip, when you make the 1st drawing on the 1st clip, when you press the button up on top beside the ruler If you press that, When you make another clip When you press the button beside that (not the ruler) You can copy the original drawing on the 1st clip. Then you erase whatever you want or not to make something move! Hope this helps :)

Personally I like to use animation desk because it has sooth animation and you can copy and paste stuff on to the other frames to if you messed up you can just clip it out 🤗

tip for the flipaclip fill bucket issue: fill in the frame with the color then copy the drawing, paste it on the same frame. depending on what colors you use, you could need to paste it twice or paste it 7 times, just as many times until you're happy with the look. this will makes the lines look thicker, though, so I'd recommend drawing with a pretty small pen in case you want the lines to end up thinner.

what i do, is i do my line art, then copy and paste in on a second layer, then on the second layer i use the fill bucket, then i go around the messy lines with the same color on the second layer, it does take some time, but it works

OK a tip for flip a clip if you click on the eraser there’s a option to change the opacity of your things so that it doesn’t have a little speckles behind it but having it slightly transparent could actually be useful if you want to use mirror on a fast moving in an animation just some tips about this new app that you haven’t heard about enough

For the bucket problem with the not completely filled in, you can make the percent of the thresh hold higher, just not too high or the whole frame will be painted.They added new brushes too, there is the air brush, crayon, and sketch pencil.They also have brush stabilizers for those of you thinking it is hard to draw with the lines looking wobbly.for flipaclip

@@t-pos First, you click on the brush you are on, then all of the brushes will appear.There will be an arrow that creates a sidebar and there you can adjust the size, stabilizer, change the color, and change the opacity.(Although you can do that without the sidebar.)

Cons for Flipaclip: Paint bucket tool buggy, Too many in-app-purchases. 2nd Folioscope Pros for Folioscope: Unlimited animations, Great community, simple design. Well uhhh as a flipacliper when your new uhm it just colors they go out of the drawing you make sometimes and color the whole frame and it's pixelated on the sides if you don't fix it (and you can copy and paste so you don't really need the paint bucket unless you wanna color the whole frame)

Tip: You can draw in any other app for flipaclip, then screenshot everything but not together for example a person, you need to screenshot all the body parts not together, then you'll use the lasso (or whatever it is called) tool and put everything together! That's it! I hope it helped!

Tip for FlipaClip: if you hold down on the plus button to add a frame, you can select to add an empty frame, to copy the last frame or to paste copied frames into a new section.

Im thinking of installing flipaclip, but I've read the reviews, some of them are negative and make me hesitant to get it. Should I get flipaclip?

I think the best app is FlipaClip and here’s why 1. You can have unlimited time so you can make the animations can be as long as you want 2. A trick for the bucket tool is that you don’t use it! there’s a better way that doesn’t make that fuzzy stuff on the side. You make a layer, move it below the lineart, color in the different sections and voila, no fuzzy-ness. 3. If you use it for a good amount of time you learn little tricks that’ll help you a lot

I paid flipaclip and now i have multiple layers, no ads, no logo, and more. Really nice, i recommend to pay it.

I recently got flipaclip premium and let me just say i definitely agree with everyone in the comments (and you after making this vid) , i managed to get my dad on board with getting it for me, if u wanna try flipaclip but don’t know if u should get premium, i’ll give u a list of what its like and u can decide for yourself Its only a one time payment of $14.99 Australian dollars The onion skin can be edited with colour and how many frames away compared to just the behind frame with no colour (as in the in front frames turn green and the behind ones turned red when colour is on) The grind can now be edited for size and opacity You now have a max of 10 layers instead of 3 You can now merge layers The time limit i believe turns infinite instead of a limit (i think, may just be default infinite time in animation) You can turn off the watermark You can add images, videos and audio from files without ads, in-fact ads are completely gone i believe! (Im only questioning on the second part) If theres more i haven’t noticed yet or i messed up and its not a premium feature or not a feature at all pls tell me in replies! have a nice day and enjoy your animating process, even if you don’t use flipaclip premium or flipaclip at all! :D

I only use 3 layers and you have infinete layers :(

For the flipaclip three free layers: its pretty reasonable cuz its like : 1st layer: sketch and detailed sketch,2nd layer: outline and colour, 3rd layer: mouth for lip sync Buuuut- the more layer payment if you want it to be more organized or something i dont know

I’ve been using both FlipaClip and animation desk In case I’m making a music video, I use FlipaClip because it has the audio feature, I use it to make simple sketches and stuff Then when I upload it, I import the FlipaClip video into Animation Desk, because it has onion skin for previous and next onion skin, I can add extra details :D

FlipaClip you can blend in you can add shades you can sketch if it helps it can have 10000 frames you can choose how many frames for a second

3:52 if you get rid of every frame of those clear all of the layers you have free four layers :D (sorry if you already knew this so did I)

In FlipaClip, you can see the fps to 20, it means you can change the speed to make your animation low or high speed :) (This is just an advice)

Folioscope added more colors option but at the same time you can always mix the color with ditherings, it makes you have to be creative

This is my opinion, but I think FlipaClip is the best. The audio feature makes it so I don’t have to go to an entirely different app to add music. And one of the apps mentioned I used when I was starting. I don’t think that app was for me, it didn’t zoom in far enough so I couldn’t use a fill bucket without filling the entire screen, and I don’t remember zooming in. I think it may have been an older version of the app. And I’ve gotten comfortable with FlipaClip anyway.

If youre using flipaclip heres a tip: on top theres a ruler and you can basically make perfect circle, perfect line and perfect square (be slow when your making a square unless you want the sides to be not sharp

Some thing I would really love for flipaclip is a stabilizer and for the buttons to not be so close together. I get confused with the buttons

In FlipaClip you can fix the white spaces problem by copying the spot where the white spaces are a few times

I wish one of these had a tool where you could copy and paste items from other frames

You don’t actually need to pay for a flipaclip subscription, you can buy just the extra layers if you dont want all of the features! I use the free audio import and unlimited layers

Attention, all, (woah I’m pinned) *Flipaclip has a update where you don’t have to copy and paste your drawing. Adjust the tolerance (“opacity”) and it will fill it perfectly. Also if you select the same color of the drawing’s color, let’s say hair, You can color the lineart by tracing it

It personally think flipaclip is the best. It's quite simple but that's good for beginners and makes it more rewarding. It has more features. It has the onion thing as well as rullers of different shapes that you can adjust. Many contest are held and there is a large community in places like here on youtube. The audio feature is great too and adds a lot possibilities to people who may struggle with editing their work. Over all I feel putting it last was unfair as you hadn't touched on a lot of things that were very important parts of the app. At the very least it should've been 2and but maybe I'm biased because I've been using for years as a beginner.

I agree with you, but you have to understand that this was my very first impression of this app. That’s why I updated my opinion (my comment is pinned) when I had some more experience!

In my opinion, flipaclip is the best- There is more to explore! Look on settings ect and you may change choice....

tip for flipaclip if you accidentally delete a part and you don't know how to redo it make each part a layer here of the eyes 1 layer the mouth 1 layer the head 1 layer etc..

If you want more layers (and other things) on FlipaClip, it's a one time purchase, not a subscription, it's also cheap, so don't worry about having to pay every month or something!

I wish that there was an app where you could draw something on one frame, and then it would automatically take that drawing and put in on the next one if you click a certain button.

I use flipaclip all the time to make my animations it is so easy to understand and make animations i love using it

Folioscope is the best since you have easy tools for those who don't want hard things and for those who do can transport/import it to editors or flipaclip like I do

In my opinion FlipaClip is the best one bc it’s very simple for the beginners in animation and I started animating with it !

I use Flipaclip the most because I don’t really learn how to use other apps really quickly and I learned to use Flipaclip very fast 😅 But everyone uses what they wanna use

Hard work and dedication girl, very eazy for her to animate

You should try an animation app that is named "animator"

I prefer FlipaClip because it looks professional but easy

Oh, and u don't need to retrace in flipaclip, u just need to click on the pic of wut ur doing on the bottom, and you have the option to copy and paste, and change only what u need to

The good animation key is Flipaclip + Ibispaint x!! ANDDD BOOOOM YOU HAVE IT

Bruh I had animation desk a few years ago and IT LOOKS SO DIFFERENT FROM NOW

As a flippaclip user when you MANUALLY colored everything in it hurt my soul knowing that there is a paint bucket tool

I’m watching this a year after I swapped from Animation Desk to FlipaClip haha Reason being I needed to be able to use audio better and being able to animate in an easier, clear software

It’s funny how i’m watching this video about 2 years after it was uploaded. 2 days later, but still counts heres a tip for flipaclip fill bucket tool: if you click on the tool, you can see a percentage, which is like how powerful it can be. the more power, and it might remove the white bits on the edge. Sometimes I might set the power tip 60% and fill it 2 or 3 times. I hope this helps!

I've only used flipaclip and as someone who can't animate good this helps alot

I’m rubbish at drawing on flipaclip but the animations and sounds I’m proud of

The FlipaClip animation had me dying 😂 💀

Me, as a FlipaClip animator. I actually think FlipaClip is a wonderful platform for like maybe lore videos, My point is that I will support that you like animation desk better. It looks excellent for an animator like you, but if you could. I would love to see you make another FlipaClip animation
