I agree 1000%! I had no idea how the several layer stencils were used and what for! Plus, I am a perfectionist so the Altenew mini sponges will be a game changer for me!! Thanks for doing these demo videos of new products and projects. The lemon card with the background stencil is so unique! I would have never come up with it! You are so talented! Nancy in Colorado

I was happy to hear you acknowledge Local King Rubber Stamps. I've been buying their stamps, dies, and markers for many years. Lisa is an amazing talent and her products are so innovative. Her blending mushrooms have been available for a few years now but, because many crafters are unaware of her company, not many are aware of them. I've worked for Lisa helping out at a craft show here in Florida and I can tell you she's an absolute delight. I wish her the best.

I love the look of your stamp in the wreath on the rectangle card card so much!!!! I am so excited to hear the tool will work for a rectangle card or scrapbook page. Thank you so much for the honest evaluation of the wreath building mechanism. I remember when stenciling first came out for the public to use on more projects other than wall stenciling ( sorry showing my advanced age here). Pouncing was the only way that you were taught to use them. Now it's coming back again. The ink stands are great. Love your videos.

That first tool is pretty amazing! I love the results that you got with it. I've seen Amy R. use those pouncers, but I believe from a different company since I believe she is in Canada. Cathy Zielske uses the ink stands all the time. Those are really great for keeping your inks still.

Simon! There are so many good things to say about this video! I hope you continue to do more reviews in the future on crafting tools that we may not always stumble upon as they’re not what we typically consider “mainstream” products. You’re so great at explaining everything in detail and using them in a versatile way to give us both ideas and a fair comparison to what we may already own. And what a treat to see a finished card or two in the process!! ❤️ (That’s my favorite part… 🤭)

I just got the pouncers but haven’t had a chance to use them yet. Thank you for demoing the fact that they can’t be used as blenders. I bought them specifically for intricate stencils like you demonstrated with and also to do the bokah look with white pigment ink. And I would highly recommend don’t use mint tape to do your stenciling, but put them on a jelly plate or the Waffle Flower stencil plate and paper holder. Those things are the bomb!❤

Doggone it, Simon . . . I don't "need" any new tools 😂🤣😂 . . . but mannnnn, that rotating stamp platform sure is calling my name. I'd ordered the Picket Fence Paper Pouncers a few months ago, but haven't gotten around to trying them yet. Sometimes, "acquisition mode" happens long before the opportunity for crafting mode comes up. I sure wish all of the various pouncing tools had been available 30 years ago, when I was bunching up triangular makeup sponges and trying not to leave edge marks on my projects. Those mini blending brushes by Altenew are also calling my name. I think I already have one set . . . but definitely need to acquire more! 🥰

I wasn't a fan of the ink pouncers until you showed us the Maracas demonstration!!! What a great instrument no home should be without, if you listen to any kind of music that is! They're great to use when hopping around to rock, jazz and/or blues but they aren't very useful with classical music! Oh Simon; once again your personality shines through and I love it! Thanks so much Cindy! I try to be as fair as possible with these reviews. Sometimes I feel like people only share the positives, but sharing what a product can and can’t do is so important for you all to see. That way you can find something that will work perfect for the things you need.❤️ I also think it’s helpful that I am a crafter and I see manufacturing behind the scenes. So I know some of the reasons companies do what they do/pricing.

This stamping tool looks nice and compact compared to something like the Stampwheel. But one major downside I'm seeing is that the magnetic piece takes up a pretty large chunk of the center space, so you can't make a very small-diameter wreath.

Thank you for sharing these items & your opinions. I wish it was easier & more economical for us in 🇨🇦 to purchase some of the amazing craft tools & supplies out there & your line is no exception! With exchange & taxes/duty buying from many of the US based companies if often just not feasible. Add to this, Michaels Canada has practically abandoned stamping, so I can’t even go to my local store to purchase stamps, ink, etc 😢. Side question: I noticed you store your brand of ink pads vertically on their sides - is that the best way to store yours (I do plan to purchase some one day)?

I love your lemon card, Simon, and would LOVE it if you came out with a die set to match. Even with the spring assist scissors I hate fussy cutting because it hurts my thumb & wrist so much. I think everyone of us who bought the lemon stamp/stencil set would purchase the die(s) too. (Lots of companies [ex: Rubbernecker] release matching dies long after the stamps are released!).

I appreciate your honest assessments. Are you speeding up your voice-overs lately? You use to sound calming. I prefer that cadence, even if it makes the video a bit longer.

Is there an ideal and successful method for cutting the zig zag chevron ? I’ve tried a variety of paper weights both face down and face up using spellbinders platinum 6 - since this your product I figured I would come straight to the source.

Since this is a "is it worth your money" video, I would like to ask if the stamp pad holders really hold better than a piece of shelf liner? I use the kind of liner that is often used under glass to keep them from sliding or moving around.

Hi Simon. Beautiful cards. I was wondering about the paper pouncers... You have a pouncer for every color family but it gets a lot of ink absorbed in the sponge so if I did a light pink and on my next card I need a saturated dark pink wont it contaminate the ink pad? Or if I use a dark pink and after I want to use a lighter pink the light pink on the pouncer will not come light. ???

Simon….Wow, that is a nice tool! WRMK (American Crafts) can really come out with some great hits or sometimes…truthfully….IMHO, some total clunkers. I was wondering, however, how you would compare it to the StampWheel (at double the price) that focuses on rotation for wreaths and layering of stamps as a strength? I bought the StampWheel…it is no doubt a quality tool. But for typical stamping of one or two impressions for greeting cards or tags 🏷️, I find it’s a bit cumbersome to use. Plus, like this one, as you noted with the WRMK rotation tool, when you need to do repeat stamping on the same image and you have to press down from ABOVE your paper, you don’t get the security that your impression will line up exactly….as you do with hinge-type stamping tools (such as the Misti and others.) If you can ever compare the two, I think that would be great! Thanks 😊
