My fusing went well this year. Shot almost 500 canister shells and only 2 didn't go off. All the cakes went off great. Helpful videos I watched a few years back from you.

I tied over 300 shells this 4th of july using a single zip tie. Only about 10 failed to light. I tied them as close as possible to the beginning of the fuse. Because of such a low failure rate I will do it again next year. The only ones I double tied were the fuses bridging over to another rack just to be safe. Apparently there is an automatic zip tie gun and I will try it next year as well.

VERY cool Video . Quick fuse is great but still obviously a slight delay, which is cool. Quick match is the only way to get instantaneous ignition.. sticky match is incredible for this too!! Again, excellent video! ;)

Great video! I used a combination of Perfect fuse & Quick fuse from Cannonfuse.com to launch all my shells this year. I was shooting a mix of Bazooka canisters from Miracle, and Smoke-n-Mirrors and Maelstrom from Brothers. I observed the same delays you saw in the video and to me the cause also appeared to be the difference in the shell fuses.

Just a point of clarification, the shell leader fuse type or length has nothing to do with the timing between each shell. As long as all shells have the same length and type of fuse, the timing between each shell is controlled by the fuse length/type of the main run fuse between each shell. Changing the shell leader fuse only affects how quickly the first shell goes off when lit by the main fuse.

My show didn't go as planned this year we used green fuse on the cakes and they went too slow and then we quick fused the finale shells and half didn't go off. It was 20 mins long and The crowd was happy but I will be thinking about it till next july. Moral of the story is care more about the fusing techniques
