With so many new faces I've seen this past year out on the water and in the tackle shops, it made me think back to when I was just beginning to fish. I was privileged to have my grandfather show me the ropes, and pass along his knowledge of everything fishing which gave me a head start. But not everyone is lucky enough to have someone mentor them into the sport. Where would one start if they wanted to begin fishing? Well, you'll need a rod, and most importantly a reel. I wanted to test out the cheapest one I could get my hands on via Amazon to see if this would be a viable option for a beginner fisherman or fisherwoman to help them get their feet wet, and catch their first fish with.

Nice fish. I have found that oiling my reels before use helps a lot. I never trust using a new reel until it has been oiled and greased.
I was in Flo last week for couples days... it's beautiful state and hot... I was in Kissimmee area... but I can't go fishing... I saw a lot of pond, river , water is every where.... I saw gato in front of my brother house.. 😳... wow.... he get of water and get sun shine lol lol... I wish I can go there again and find some place to fish.... and it's a lots of places to visit... Air boat ride me around to see gato, yeah... I eat gato meat and a beer... it's really nice.. but I been there only 3 days... so hope next trip it's a little longer... I hope I can catch some fish like you.... 👍👍👍

Ozark Trail makes a $15 2000 and 3000 size reel and both are good. I have caught a lot on both.
I still can't figure out how you get those great shots and your by yourself. Definately talented
