I agree with Brad Meyer; another great video. I also like the way you do videos from an average persons perspective. I'm glad you skipped the unboxing. Some people spend half the length of the video unwrapping parts and pieces. Warn makes a great winch. In 2000 my father purchased a 2,000lb Warn winch for $500 to put on his new quad and I have always been impressed with how much weight it will pull. I purchased a BadLand 2,000lb winch from Harbor Freight for $50 to put on my quad to raise and lower the front blade. It will do that task but not much more at all; but hey it was $50. Warn is a premium winch but you pay premium $$$. Your purchasing decision matrix is similar to mine....what will he it's intended purpose? will it perform said task? how often will I use it? how long do I think it will last with the intended use and frequency of use? and finally $$$. If I think I will use something often I will pony up the money and something that I know will work without fail. If it is light use and not very often I will look at less expensive options. With your content and style you will get to 100,000 subscribers in the blink of an eye!

A great first impressions review Brock! But, I was really looking forward to a lengthy description of the best blade to use to open a cardboard box, and a slow-mo shot of cutting carton tape. But you keep trying, you'll get there!

I could’ve played the jaws music while opening the box and made it cinematic I learned my lesson when I did the unboxing on the Artillian tool rack. It’s a great tool storage system but the video is 20 minutes of me taking stuff out of boxes. Pretty much unwatchable

Agreed. I had left mine out in the rain for over a year including the freeze cycles in the winter I got it out to make a video about trying to get it to start and it literally fired on the first pull even with the old gas That’s the kind of reliability you need in a backup power source

Sounds like your lucky day. Free winch? Sign me up! love your non unboxing. (Hope we didn't miss too much) ! Now if you can get a wireless remote control you can sit in the tractor and steer while pulling with the winch. I have stuck my 1025r in the mud and used my HF remote control on my quadrunner to pull me out while driving the tractor st the same time.

Good comparison video. Overall I’ve been disappointed in most electric winches, but I guess I was expecting too much from them. I really want to come up with a hydraulic winch to run from my remotes on the tractor. Hope the new Champion serves you well!

I was disappointed in my first electric winch so I got a bigger one. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if I’m disappointment with it as well. They make logs sliding winches for your three point Hitch But the ones I’ve seen are $4000 or more so I’m out on that Thanks for watching

I think there are aftermarket wireless winch controllers, possibly universal, not 100% sure. Once you go wireless it is hard to go back.. so convenient you could sit in what you are pulling while winching. Or be 100ft away and be able to spool out more rope if needed. Just a thought. Great video as always.

Winch ratings are based on a pulley, if you've got a snatch block you can get closer to the actual rated power. Without the snatch block you're closer to half that. Huge warn guy, I've owned them on my Jeep for more years than I can count. Champion has been doing some good stuff though. I've got a generator from them and it's been great. Also... Champion makes winches now?

I say skip the Permanente truck mount on the truck. Unless you have a 12,000 pound anchor that you can place exactly where you need it under any circumstance . There Are many winching math vids on KZread, you should watch them. Most will teach you about snatch blocks and line wrapping. A winch is only as good as it's anchor point

Just so you know champion doesn't make winches or generators, the are a long Defunct American name that is now used to sell baicckly who knows what china brand . That sed sometimes you luck out with a china brand sometimes you dont. I have A Harbor freight Chinese 2 stroke 900 W generator that I bought as a throwaway for one job over 10 years ago and it still runs.
