i use pretty litter in one box and arm&hammer in another for 2 of my four cats. i have one cat with cystitis, so i can monitor her with pretty litter.. she also tracks less stuff that ruins hardwood floors. my third cat is a fan of Fresh News. it works for her because she always pees in the same corner so i use a mini dust pan to remove the saturated newspaper litter. she conveniently (and considerately) poops in the second box and being the alpha cat, never covers it. this same litter would never work for the other two. Cat 4 has FIV and lives in the laundry and 12x12' catio. she uses generic clumping litter since there are no hardwood floor considerations.

I have to say, the odor control of the pretty litter is like nothing I’ve ever seen! (Or smelled, LOL!). I’ve always used your standard types of litters all my life, and NONE of them helped control odor for long. Now that I’m using pretty litter I literally have to remind myself to do anything with the litter box, or my cat has to remind me, one or the other. If I could find a cheaper version of it I would, but it has changed everything when it comes to dealing with the litter box, and all for the better. One year now using pretty litter and zero complaints about it! (Except the expense, of course, but worth it!).

I wish! So glad it works for you, I just couldn’t find a way to make it work with my 3 cats. They drink so much water I have to change 2 boxes bi-weekly. (I have 4 litter boxes, they prefer to do their 1 and 2 in different boxes 😂) otherwise it’ll just turn into a smelly slushy 😣 went from like $20/month to $120 and I feel like I’m doing 5 times the work having to completely change it out so often. I notice a strong pee smell after only a day or two! just wish the pee would clump and I’d be sold!

From what I can tell, the majority of people who use Pretty Litter have chronically-ill, usually senior, kitties who have already been diagnosed with serious (and very expensive to treat) recurring illnesses. I switched from clumping clay litter because my 13-year-old girl, Mary, had been hospitalized with severe kidney infections twice in 3 months, and I needed to do everything I could to make her bathroom trips much less likely to cause bacterial transmission. Because crystal litter is so much dryer, and less likely to stay wet and stick to her little lady-parts, it's worth the extra money - especially considering that each hospitalization costs $3,000 or more. #CKD #Hyperthyroidism

I made the mistake of trying Pretty Litter a few years ago and now I'm stuck paying the premium price bc NOTHING works as well as that litter. I've had cats my whole 50+ years and we've tried the fancy self-cleaning boxes, and even resorted to building a mini bathroom for our cats (which is awesome btw) but nothing helped control odor as well as Pretty Litter and the best part.. zero tracking! I used to find litter in my bed on the 2nd floor but not since we've used this litter. Not paid or anything, believe me, I pay them and will continue to do so!

Thanks for this comment. To me it’s worth the premium if the tracking is minimal and the odor is minimal. I had some great clay litter that was good with odor overall but the tracking was terrible. I’m on day 2 with this stuff. I hope it works out.

I've been using Tidy Cat clumping litter for many years now. The price is comparable to Dr. Elsey's though the fine particles can be more easily tracked. The plastic jugs also make them easier to carry and store. They're completely recyclable and can be used for other projects. With the equivalent of 8 litter boxes in the house I go through roughly 80 pounds of litter per month, with all the boxes completely cycled during a two month period. The Pretty Litter would be completely impractical for this 6-cat household due to the time for saturation limit and the price. I think I prefer the idea of actually removing the urine-soaked material each week rather than just letting it sit. With Tidy Cat my cost is roughly $9 per month per cat, but I expect that will rise dramatically as rapid price inflation continues. I suggest buying large quantities now and storing in advance of the price increases. I just acquired 8 months of food yesterday to try to get ahead of these increases. One thing to be wary of - some stores now offer the opportunity for customers to bring their own containers to the store and scoop their own litter from a bulk bin. CHECK THE UNIT PRICING! I compared the price per pound for this bulk litter in two different stores and found it to be more expensive than my regular Tidy Cat products.

We have 2 cats so it's actually hard for us to track their health with clumping litter. When we used Pretty litter, we found out one of our cats have UTI (showed up red). It was easy to figure out who had the UTI as we would wait until one would use the litter box and look at the spot they peed. Pretty litter does an amazing job at odor control, but unfortunately doesn't last us 30 days even with two bags as we now just feed our cats wet food so they pee a lot. We alternate using clumping and Pretty Litter so it didn't get super expensive.

That's good but it's toxic & not worth the risk! If you observe your cats like they were your children you also would have noticed very quickly that kitty was having problems because there are symptoms telling you, as well as kitty because his behavior was off!! With kitty's when they are not feeling well you will catch it, as soon as their behavior changes (litter nox habits. food or water intake, listless, nervousness, even lying down as uncomfortable) any changes go to vet. Because with kitty's things happen rather fast!!@ LOVE THEM❣️❣️❣️

I just came to this conclusion myself last week. We have 2 cats and no matter how often I stir the litter, pretty litter seems to only last us about 3 weeks at best. Spending $45~ every 3 weeks or so just doesn't seem worth it. I could maybe stretch it to a month, but it really starts to smell after a couple weeks or so and doesn't absorb as well. Going to try to some clay litter starting next month since it should about 1/4 of the price.

Your awesome chanel referred me to Dr. Elsey's and 2 months in I love it! I buy 1 40lb bag per month for $19.99 for my 2 cats and it's just the right amount. I was using Fresh Step before, but it was insanely dusty and more expensive. Dr. Elsey's is economical and I love being able to buy a 40lb bag. It does seem to create some dust, but WAY better than other clumping litters I've used. The only warning I seem to hear is that it can clump very solid and hard making it difficult to scoop if it gets stuck to the bottom of the pan, so I suggest making sure you have enough litter in the pan and using a metal scooper over plastic. If you watch her videos, read the transcripts as she has updated information there from when the videos were made. I have 3 of these setups for my 2 Ragdoll males in a small apartment. You will not smell urine at all as the pine pellets absorb it, and expand into sawdust. The poop, I just scoop with a Litter Lifter pellet scoop, shake the pellets loose, and flush. So glad you recognized that Dr Elsey’s litter has changed. I started out using the “walnut brand” but everything became covered with a red dust after awhile. That was eight years ago. I started using Dr Elsey’s and my 2 cats were a fan and I liked it also. It appeared to have less dust and less tracking. I started using the litter in one box but in the other litter box, I was started using Arm&Hammer Clump and Seal. I have since adopted a third feral cat that would rather potty outside than use Dr Elsey’s. So I gave him the the choice of Clump and Seal. I have found all three would rather use the Clump and Seal. It isn’t the cheapest but seems to last and has little dust and tracking I don’t plan to go back. Thanks for the video Se

I tried pretty litter for a little while when I adopted two additional cats, since it made it really easy to keep track of their pottying and did a really good job sucking out the moisture and stopping the immediate stank issues that they were having while their poos normalized (even though they'd been dewormed before I adopted them, it didn't get all the worms so we had to do that again, plus the antibiotics they'd been on messed up their tracts and we had to do a round of some hardcore probiotics to get that taken care of, but thankfully now their poops are normal cat poops with normal levels of stinkiness). Pretty Litter worked for that purpose, but it was quite the mess and tracked everywhere (and I mean EVERYWHERE - it was in my bed, on my couch, etc) and it hurt to step on it, which made it a huge problem that it got everywhere (I had to wear shoes everywhere in my house while using it), plus the cats REALLY loved digging and flinging it. As an added strike against them, their customer service is abysmal. When it came time for my first renewal, it took over three weeks for them to get the order to me and they tried to refuse to give me any kind of refund when it looked like it wasn't going to arrive at all (after me asking them 4 different times where it was - and every single time it hadn't actually been shipped yet). Dr. Elsey's has a silica based litter (which I discovered and ended up trying because it took so long for PL to get the order to me) that does the same stuff as pretty litter for several dollars cheaper. So if you ever have a specific reason to use a silica litter, skip PL just from their pure trash service alone. Now that all the cats' tummies/GI tracts are healthy again I've switched to a corn based litter that does a really good job and doesn't make as much of a mess, but when it does make a mess it doesn't hurt to step on it.

A lot of people seem to real like Pretty Litter, but I just couldn’t get on board. It’s not about the price, I don’t have a problem with paying more for a superior product. Pretty Litter seemed really nice the first couple days we used it and my cats seemed to like it. We followed the directions, scooping the poop and stirring the litter. After a few more days, the smell started to become really bad, like nothing I’ve experienced with other litters (and we’ve tried almost all of them!). I was coughing and gagging whenever I got within a few feet of the litter box. After a week I had to throw the whole thing out. There was literally a pool of urine at the bottom of the litter box. 🤢 Not sure if I got a bad batch or if I did something wrong (not sure what you can really do wrong with cat litter, I scoop twice daily and have the appropriate number of boxes for my cats). I really wanted to like Pretty Litter, but it nearly made me sick. We’re using World’s Best cat litter now.

I have 2 neutered boys who turned 1 in April. I have been using Pretty Litter since they came to live with me almost a year ago. I find it easy to clean. You're going to be scooping the whole box looking for the solid waste especially if the cat digs really deep and covers thoroughly. So their box gets a thorough scooping twice a day. Two cats, 1 box. Tried 2 boxes but they ended up both using the same one. Keeping the box clean and stirred I get 3 weeks consistently and sometimes 4 weeks. Not bad for 2 cats. The boys love it and seem to find digging in it easy and comfortable. One thing to know...the litter at the bottom will start to take on a bluish color as it absorbs the urine so stirring and mixing the litter is necessary. Also, I have a good sized litter box and it takes 2 bags of Pretty Litter to give a deep enough coverage. I'm 74 years old and I can carry a bag of Pretty Litter easily. It controls odor well. You walk into my house and you don't smell cats!!! It is pricey but is worth it to me. Hopefully it will come down in price some day soon.

All comments on pretty litter ads are negative and saying this litter adds plastic to the environment, but people don't seem to know that silica crystals are NOT plastic. I think that's something their marketting team also failed to understand as when they awnser to the comments, they just say: "no, we don't pollute, out litter is made of silica crystals" without adressing the fact that people think silica crystals are plastic.

We have three cats and use the Kitty Poo service. I have a chronic lung issue that having the clay litter around causes me significant problems with breathing. We like the Kitty Poo. It does not offer the change in color, health monitoring aspect that Pretty Litter has, but what I really like is that I completely replace the litter boxes each month. Kitty Poo uses recycled materials to create the boxes and the boxes themselves biodegrade quickly. They also offer the option to buy the silica litter only and use a regular litter box. It is expensive. We get 3 boxes delivered every 3 weeks. We don't have children and I look at this service providing comfort for me and my kitties. I tried putting down mats to help collect the silica but my male cat did not like it at all. He quickly urinated on it. I washed it and tried scenting it up with their toys and he quickly let us know that was not going to work. Since then, I purchased a drop cloth I use for painting furniture, which he promptly urinated on. I realized he does not like anything with certain types of odors. Lesson learned for me. BTW, Kitty Poo dust is low compared to clay litters I no longer have a film of dust around the room I have to clean off.

I haven't tried Pretty Litter but I used to use ExquisiCat crystal litters. I started with the type where you leave the urine in the box and mix it around, like with Pretty Litter, but then they came out with a clumping version. I really liked it because I could get most of the dirty litter out of the box and it was white, so I could see if any of my cats were peeing blood. Unfortunately, one of my recently adopted cats ended up being really sensitive to dust and fine particles of litter. She sneezed a lot and had irritated eyes every time she used the litter box. I tried clay again and many other kinds of litter and eventually had to switch away from fine litter of any kind to pellet-style litters. The cats don't like the feel of pellets as much as finer litter but they all use it and the cat's symptoms cleared up. However, if she hadn't reacted poorly to the clumping crystal litter, I'd probably still be using it in at least one of the boxes. The clumps could be scooped after a few minutes and the litter didn't track far enough to cause problems for humans in the house.

I only have one cat, just one, so the bag of Pretty litter is lasting me about 1 1/2 months. I used to use clay litter which stunk up my house and I just hated it! I will be subscribing to their auto delivery even though Walmart and Target do carry it, unfortunately it sells out so fast at the stores. Also, no dust here... I don't pour it out as high as you did, which obviously does create the dust. Next time instead of pouring Pretty Litter out at 1 to 2 feet above the pan like you did in this video, try pouring it out maybe 2 to 3 inches from the pan ...no dust!

Many thanks Mallory, I love your channel and your honest opinions and reviews! I tried Pretty Litter and I could not stand the urine smell after a few days. I ended up stop using it after a week. The instructions say we do not have to scoop out urine clumps but I just could not stand the urine smell, even I already scooped out the urine clumps, I have done my best to want to like it but I just could not. Cats do not seem to like the texture. I am now Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Ultra Clumping Multi-Cat Clay Cat Litter - Unscented, I like that it’s not dusty but somehow I see both my cats’ paws got some after using the litter box. I used to use Arm & Hammer Multi Cat and also Double Duty clumping litter but it’s dusty and one of my cats acted like have asthma when he was digging that litter so I no longer use that. I also tried Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal, no dust but too sandy so the litter stuck in their paws. The granules are smaller than other litters I have used, more like a coarse sand. I do not like the idea of having sand like material stuck in their paws as I am worried they will end up swallowing it when they lick their paws. I wanted to try tofu litter or corn or wheat litter but after doing some researches, I found that some people reported that their cats eat those litter (because they seem eatable to them I guess, and the smell) so these are not the options. I tried Okocat wood pellets but it’s dusty and the warning on the box regarding cancer make me worried so I no longer use them. As for pine pellets, I am concerned about safety after I read a post by one of the people that works in a company that manufacture them, he posted his honest opinion and recommended people not to use pine pellets. Pine oils contained in the wood which may cause respiratory and liver problems. Even some manufacturing companies claim that the pine oils are destroyed in the manufacturing process, leaving the pellets safe, but he said that in reality not all pine oils are destroyed in the process. He did not say which company he works in, so this may apply to just one company and maybe the pine litter made by other companies are safe but I still do not want to take the risk. Paper pellets seem to be the best option but they are way too expensive and not affordable. I still have not found the perfect cat litter that is most healthy and affordable. I am using Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Ultra Clumping Multi-Cat Clay Cat Litter - Unscented. May I ask if anyone else find this litter stuck in their cats’ paws sometimes? Do their cats’s stool change color?

I use Cats Best, which is a wood fibre litter. It costs me £30 (around $38) for a 13kg bag that lasts my pair around two months. While it's fairly expensive, it does a good job of preventing smells, is very easy to clean, doesn't create a lot of dust and, most importantly, the cats love it! Think it's currently only available in Europe, though

I was a huge fan of Dr Elsey's litter until it changed. I stepped away from it when it started to stick to the litter pan which it never did before. When my one cat had respiratory issues I used Dr Elsey's Respiratory Relief litter that was a game changer for my aging cat. I've tried the crystal type of litter and couldn't stand the stink it produced after just a few days. Currently I'm using the Garfield litter and my cat likes it, but boy does it track. It kinda clumps, but does have a strange odor, even when opening a fresh bag. My cat uses the Garfield litter for urine and uses his other litter box that has Fullers Earth in it for his fecal deposits - pretty dusty. Thanks for the video.

I alternate between both these brands depending on how I'm feeling that month. If I don't want to deal with scooping caked-on litter and throwing away multiple heavy bags of used litter a month, then I will use Pretty Litter. If I don't want to deal with heavy tracking, then I will use Dr. Elsey's. Just depends on what I'm willing to deal with that month lol.

I like to use the pine pellet cat litter... Check this out. You never smell urine, you will smell number two though if it's freshly made, but if it's been buried for more than an hour, you don't really smell it... Don't get me wrong, I scoop immediately when I get home from work, and it isn't as noticable as when they just got finished... Anyway, I think it's the best cat litter, hands down. You can find 20lb. bags of it at some grocery stores for around $12-$13... However, (secret tip coming) you can go to Tractor Supply and buy a 40lb. Bag of pine horse bedding pellets for just under $7.00 a bag.......... Same exact stuff. I'll never use any other kind of cat litter.

I’m thinking about going back to pretty litter because it was great for monitoring my cats health when changing diet. I usually use Yesterdays News which thankfully my cat does like. Yesterdays News is also eco-friendly which I like. That’s a major downside of silica litter. I really hate how dusty most silica litters are though, but Pretty Litter is fairlyyy low dust from my experience after the first time you fill it. The cat never seems to kick up too must dust herself. Probably as little dust as you could realistically hope for.

Scooping daily, I find 2 litter boxes, with one bag of PL in each, will last a month, before you can start to smell a odor. To really check, get down on hands and knees, to almost cat level. The ammonia is heavy, so has to be really strong to smell at person height. As for dust, I had to chuckle a bit at the video. Pouring any litter for even a foot of more above the box and shaking the box to level it will raise more dust. I pour almost right in the box, moving the bag to spread it out some, then the scoop to finish. I find very little issue with scatter outside the box. They are on a very tight weave fabric mat, and each box change, I just pick it up, and pour what scatter it has into the box before I empty it. One final thing, for me, not mentioned in the video, is that when you scoop clumping litter, you have to dispose of it as trash (aka landfill). Only scooping the solids from PL, you can flush it down the toilet. I scoop into a paper bowl, drop the content into the toilet and flush, give the bowl a quick rinse and then drop that into the recycle bin. After 20 years of using clay, we switched 4 years ago to crystal, and have used the PL the past 3. I will never go back to clay, but, that's just my choice :) Happy kitty time.

It was expensive I purchased it at Walmart costing about $34. I found it to be very dusty and small particals tracked everywhere. I had to throw out the whole thing in a week it turned yellow and I could smell a strong urine smell. The only thing I liked about it was that it was lightweight and it changed colors. I went back to my original litter which I love and trust. World's Best Cat Litter. I probably won't buy it again unless my cats had a serious problem like kidney or crystals.

Used Dr Elsey's Ultra litter for a little bit. Big problem was it was so heavy. And the clumps were so huge, even with scooping everyday. Litter didn't last as long, cause the clumps would take up half the box. Clumps would also break apart and stick to the bottom of the box. Oh and my cat scoop would have pieces stuck. It would even stick to my cats butt and get tracked everywhere. Only positive things were it had lower dust than most and did keep odors down. I swapped to Boxiecat, currently using Extra Strength. So far so good.

Just saw this. I have 8 cats, have always had cats, and there are many more choices now than back in the day when it was all clay. I use 2 kinds: recycled newspaper pellets (Exquisicat, but there are others), and World's Best Litter, which is a corn-based by-product that clumps. The paper does not clump but absorbs liquid and you can see the areas that were wet-- they turn darker and expand. I use the corn product as an option. I have a cat that was feral and likes the feel of the corn "sand", plus she lives in my garage so tracking is not an issue. I can monitor her clumps and solid waste better. I have one litter box indoors with the opening on top (the cats have to jump down to use the box) so minimal tracking. 3 of my cats like this litter. It clumps really well, very easy to clean, has virtually no dust, controls odor really well, and lasts a long time. But, it's expensive and tracks everywhere. The paper product has nearly no dust, must be cleaned daily or at least the 2cd day, or it will smell. It doesn't track at all, but might be kicked out of the box if the cats get really crazy with their digging. Overall very clean especially if you have carpeting. Not expensive. Basically whatever you remove by scooping, you replace. I have one cat with a poor immune system and allergies, who would get irritation between his toes with clay or even the corn litter. He would eventually get infected areas. That has disappeared with the paper litter.

Pine pellets from the farm supply store. Never going back. Cheap as dirt for 40lbs, no gross clumps stuff everywhere, and great odor control (especially if you add some baking soda). It also doesn't track hardly at all. If it does, the pellets are large enough for you to just pick it up and toss it back in the litter box. The fact that it's totally biodegradable and renewable is also fantastic considering the environmental impact of traditional clay litter

While you can use a regular litter box with pine litter it honestly ( in my opinion) better to use a sifting box or the tidy cat box. The litter pellets do break down and may get little messy and some cats may not like it. I prefer walnut pellet litter ( which does have draw backs in that it very dark colored, so you need more time scooping fecal matter . It is bit more expensive than pellet litter but cheaper than most other types) To me walnut is less dusty , smells better and has better Odor control.

Brazenly the clumping kernels I get is called World's Best Cat Litter, sounds like a knockoff but it's actually great stuff pretty good odour control in general, I get it from the supermarket for ease of access because tbh I buy a lot of it: 8lb is $19AUS. I have 2 cats Dru is very old is healthy, messy and pees a lot and Ollie is middle aged and very tidy. The problem is I am very clean with the cats and clear their boxes daily mostly because of Dru's constant use so I'm going thru 1 every 10 -15 days, I would like to make it cheaper but I do really like this stuff for it's odour control - which I boost for Ollie by mixing some baking soda once a week in his box, whereas Dru refuses to use her box with baking soda. PS u responded to my comment on a vet's channel a few weeks ago where I was outlining some severe anxiety I was going thru with Dru being old, your reply was basically to let that anxiety go and well that was really useful for me, I didn't know it was anxiety until it was pointed out and so I just stopped my focus on that stuff which suddenly seemed so minor compared to the good things we feel in our life together. Thank you

I love the fresh smell, but some of my cats are not using the boxes now. Every day I find a pile of poop in front of my washing machine, and pee on the floor in front of my sink. Going to put one litter box in front of the washer and add an extra box with just a pee pad in it. I saw a comment on JG which said a lot of cats won’t use the equine pellets because they don’t like to walk on the hard pellets. Since then I have gotten hand issues and I was kitty sitting a friends cats who used clumping and it was a nightmare. Since my hands don't bend properly or have much strength it was he'll scooping. I've tried many different crystal cat litters and keep returning to fresh step cause its less dusty and last longer. An 8lb bag last two weeks with my two cats, I only have one litter box. I've never had more than one litter box and have never had an issue but then again I do scoop daily if not more. I have a cat and if there is the tiniest turd she gives me hell. She will still use the box if I'm not home but she makes it clear when I'm home. She is so crazy that after she poops she makes me clean it. As you can tell she has me trained.

Both of them wind up throwing the litter out of the pans - sometimes violently. Dr. Elsey's controls odors and doesn't have the traction of litter everywhere. I got the impression from the Pretty Litter commercials that they wanted the human to like the fragrance of the litter and cats do not like litter to have a fragrance. That's another reason why I am staying with Dr. Elsey - it's fragrance-free.

I have tried a lot of litters over the last few years. With 12 cats it is expensive. I tried Pretty Litter when I had two cats and again when I had 7. Initially I liked Pretty Litter. Then I found that it has terrible odor control and is very messy. With two cats I was able to manage the odor a bit better, but Pretty Litter just couldn't handle 7 cats. I would need a lot of Pretty Litter for 12 cats and it would be really expensive and not last nearly as long as the clumping clay litter. I did like the color indicator initially, and it's great as an option. With so many cats though, my understanding from what I was told by Pretty Litter is that the color indicator can become obsolete. The litter gets saturated very quickly and then turns green, not necessarily because of illness but because of being so saturated. I use regular unscented litter, either tidy cats or Up&Up, and it manages odor and tracking better for much less cost.

Thanks for the reivew! I agree with your insights (I haven't used Pretty Litter, but I can definitely see your points). I'm sure you reviewed that stainless steel litter box, I've been eyeballing it for a while but I was thinking it was too small... but it looks to be a good size! GOing to go find your reivew. Oh, our rescue uses Dr. Elsey's. It is dusty, but I like the litter size and it makes decent clumps (spoiler alert: I use the Petco grass seed litter, about 1/3 to 2/3, it makes amazing clumps, and partnered with Dr. Elsey's, it's a winning combo with tight urine clumps. ) I have an air filter next to the main litter box in my foster room. I always joke, "99.9% dust free"? I'd hate to see 95% dust free. cough cough.

I would avoid clumping clay litter as per health issue for both you and your cat. I'm using pretty litter, yes expensive but also delivery to your door (I'm in Canada) and pine clumping litter as well. my cat first choice is always pretty litter. the odor control is good as the smell doesn't travel all over my apartment only pee smell while I'm stiring. I change it a bit earlier than a month.

Could you please test the litter robot 4 with non clay and non silica litters! My cat is pretty allergic and I just bought the new litter robot 4 but I don't know which litter to use. Thank you

I've wondered if you couldn't just scatter some pH strips in your litter, and accomplish the same thing as Pretty Litter for a lot less money, plus I'm committed to pine pellets.

I use a crystal litter (not fine grained like pretty litter) and from my experience you don't want to mix it around, since the pee tends to be absorbed at the bottom and if you stir then that is brought to the top. By not mixing I can go about twice as long without changing the litter, and it doesn't get smelly at all since that's all trapped at the bottom beneath a layer of still fresh litter. What I don't like about crystal litter is that my cats can't or won't cover their poop with it, and fresh uncovered poops smell awful.

I used Pretty Litter for awhile but just like clay litter it tends to stick to my long haired cats fur. Plus it tracked really bad and was sticking to my feet! I have found Fresh Step crystal litter works best for me as it doesn’t stick to my cats tail.

As in terms of kitten/kittens I think non clumping might be better because I think kitten sniff it while they are trying to use the litter but there is more paws scatter from it around the litter box

It’s interesting you mentioned that Dr Elsey’s Ultra has gotten dustier recently. I have noticed reviews on the quality of their products going down. Have you noticed the quality of their Clean Protein solid food go down? This also seemed to be one of the affected products.

If you ask the company. Pretty litter does has clumping but it's not public information. I order the clumping litter so that cats are not stepping in urine crystals

Hi! Does anyone know a healthier alternative to Fancy Feasts small canned wet foods? My cat LOVES them, and I feel so guilty giving them to her because they are so unhealthy

I need some advice. I have a single cat household and have been using Okocat Soft litter, but since my kitty eats wet food only she pees gallons and the litter is just not capable of clumping around her giant pee puddle. The Okocat is good for odor control (smells like sawdust), but it's very dusty and doesn't work so well for a cat who pees more than she poops. I have been researching alternatives to the Okocat, even considering toilet training her but I don't want to stress her out. There has to be a better way than what I'm dealing with. I'm disabled and can barely keep up with scooping and when I'm in too much pain, I have to just rotate in another litter box and take the dirty one to the garage until I'm able to clean it. Help!

I've been using Fresh Step Unscented for some time now and all the cats seem to have no issues with it. We have no odor issues as well and it works great in both our Litter Robots. I've been on the fence about trying Dr. Elsey's Unscented since you highly recommend it so much. I've read stories about how it sticks like glue to the bottom of litter boxes really bad and is hard to remove. I may try it in a smaller bag once. As for Pretty Litter, no thank you. Over priced garbage in my opinion. I can see this for a single cat house hold but with more than one cat and how expensive it is, that just doesn't justify the price in my opinion. You'd never know which cat would have the issue unless your right there starring them down. :D Anyway. Thanks again for the great video!

Dr. Elsey's has gone downhill over the years, and I've also started to notice a lot of sticking. I don't plan to recommend it as the overall best in the future. Your Fresh Step Unscented should be just fine!

i tried Dr. Elsey last year and I really disliked it. The tracking issue was great, but the clumping and the sticking were bad. It doesn’t feel like it clumps very well, and it sticks so badly to the bottom of the pan, which even makes scooping out the entire litter clump hard. That makes cleaning hard while not maintaining the sanitary of the box as well as a clumping litter should. Ever since I switched to Arm & Hammer slide (either platinum or not), I never go back. No sticking, clump decently well, and absolutely no smell! My cat never smells like a 5-cat household haha.

Hmm have you ever tested words best cat litter? I’d be interested in your opinion! Also you should make a video on cat pee puddles lol. I would like to know what’s normal. My cat childhood cat was diabetic and one thing that tipped me off (along with other symptoms) was huge pee’s in the cat box because she was drinking a lot
