    I own a Can-Am DS450X and I want to like the CAN-AM more just so I can keep it in the family when I get my SxS, but there's no denying that the RZR XP is the kind of the castle. For that matter, the RZR dominates the Maverick at every trim level. It's nice that the Can-Am comes with a yoshimura exhaust and 4 point harness, but that doesn't make up for the things that it lacks, like a poor seating position, bad looks, less HP, worse handling.

    Everyone fails to talk about the reliability. I bought one and before I even broke it in (25hrs) I popped an EPS fuse and the clutch is failing to disengage when I come to a stop. This is my third RZR and I feel like a fool for spending this kinda money on such a flakey machine.

    Did You break it in? They do have break in periods and limits to their abilities. Constant drag launches and redlining within the first 25 hrs is really not good for a machine.

    It's only a 925cc though why couldn't they get the extra ccs out of it? The canam CDs turbo is almost as fast with 13 less hp maybe they have more displacement the rzr.

    If I'm not mistaken, the reason why the turbo Mav is just as fast it's because of the RZRs beefed up drivetrain which soaks up a lot of horsepower. But still they are turbo'ed powered machines that are just insane and who cares about the Mav or the RZRs drawbacks really. I'm happy where this segment of offroad sport is going : ) I'm sure a beefed up powertrain will give you more confidence on the trails too.

    +bobby harvill sounds legit to me. I'm starting to think we have hit the point where machines are getting to powerful and heavy to the point they are capable of destroying themselves ( with a little help). Maybe that's why Kawasaki hasn't went above the 750 brute force for example or jumped on the 1000cc SS bandwagon.

  • @gracilism

    @gracilism

    I think Bobby is right. To me, a side by side should be bought new. Many people run these things at redline constantly. Saving two grand on a used one isn't worth the risk of that kind of abuse.

  • @425j1
    @425j18 жыл бұрын

    For 25 grand I expect some full doors and a roof at a minimum. Eventually the horsepower wars will be past the point of mattering and itll come down to whos giving you the most extras and build quality. And sorry to say, Polaris is last in both of those.

    TheMillst0ne my grandpa bought a Kymco MXU 500I LE and gave me his old 00 belt eating 325 popo magnum 1. Clutching is shitty on the magnum 2. Eats alot of belts 3. Way to big for a 325 it's as big as my 500 scrambler which is the only polaris I like 4. It's handling sucks. My grandpa's Kymco has more torque higher top speed with less horse power take in mind and is heavier. And I tell you what it is the most beautiful sport U i have ever seen.

    actually dirt traks reviews many companies and in the sxs world honda falls behind behemoths like can-am and polaris plus these vehicles are made for sport and use in deserts,rocks and mud. honda has yet to make a sport sxs and at this moment only make utility sxs... but i still love honda for there on-road vehicles actually my main ride is a honda cbr1000rr. in the motorcycle world honda dominates but in the off-road sxs world they lack in many catagories. in the end comparing honda with polaris or cam-am is like apples and oranges.

    CakeTheMoonMan 1234 well seeing that your cover photo is "FORD" you only like things that are American. Get outta here until you learn what true engineering is. I'm American to but ford sucks and polaris is over rated not everything here is great. Chevy is the best though a vortec chevy versus a shitty powerstroke haha no comp the vortec has twice the power and torque and is engineered so much better.
