Intressant test, bra jobbat!

With continuous work how many hours will the MSA 300 battery last at one go?

Hours? You meaning on one charge? The MSA300 I have one with an 18" bar cutting dry oak using betwwen 80 and 90% of the bar 15 minutes and my AP500S battery is out of charge, 11 or 12 cutts and battery is going.

Hello. I have the 161T, 220C and MSA300, very much you can't compare the 220C with MSA300 because is on another level its much powerful and professional the down side is even with AP500 battery your cutting time is short. My feeling is the batteries aren't up to this joy powerful saw. I have mine with 16" and 18" bars. If you go for light jobs the 220C is light less expensive and even with AP300S battery you kind be okay. However I use to say, for home user anybody with 161T and MSA300 need nothing more.

Is a dificult question, I prefer the battery ones the problem is the batteries not last long so to say. If you are near a power outlet and you have 3 batteries and the 500 charger you very much can cut all day continuos, but if you go out in woods and you only have 1 or 2 batteries you are limited, I am happy with my MSA 220, but power wise can't compared with MSA300. I have bout each one have its tasks, on mines for the 220 I have a 35 and 40 cm bars and for the MSA300 I have 40 and 45 cm bars and kind use the bars acording to the tickens of the wood in general this in order to may got some more battery time. To me seems like the MSA300 in real life it go even faster that what we see in videos. I am happy with mine wish I can say the same about the batteries run time. Chain sharpens is a must in order to save battery. With an AP500S battery in order to chalange the MSA300 you must go with Stihl 261 and up. For small things the 161T is a beast and on this one most times I even only use the AP200 batery because is light I have this one with a 30 cm bar and I can say I have used and abused it beyond manufacturers recomendation and in 2 years already it never fail. If you only go buy one you need to see what you going to use it for in order to chose one because each one have is purpose so to speack, in my case when I go out cutting I take the 3 and then depending on the wood I use one or the other. I switch from gas to battery and so far I happy and have no complain with Stihl saws I have, just hope Stihl can manage to improve battery technology. If you go for the MSA300 remember it only run in full power with AP500S battery even it runs with all AP batteries but only in the lower speed. Hoppe I have given you a good insight, if you have any other question just ask me I try unswer you best I can.

I have the Stihl MSA300 with 16" and 18" bar, 220C with 16" bar, 161T and GTA26. The MSA300 is a joy powerful saw however feels kind a Mustang GT with an empty tank of gas, same go for the GTA26 the best battery still not up to the saw. The 220C is okay I just don't like the bar attachment because even was don to make tension the bar es-ear it don't because of the dust, the little 161T is a work horse I have it with a 30cm bar and I have twice the cutting time with one AP200 battery than I have with one AP500S battery on the MSA300. In overall I can say I am happy however I hope Stihl improve the batteries in regard on how long they last before need recharge.

Ja, men bara ett kort stund, sen överhettar batteriet och den går ner i effekt. En ganska oönskad feature på högeffekts produkter.

Rubbish! It is too heavy, battery last too short, too much to click before you start cutting, and it has an ugly ugly sound! 😣

We operate a professional tree service and almost entirely use Stihl battery saws now for ground work and bucket work. Except when we need to break out the ms661 for a 6 foot diameter tree trunk. Yes I agree most people do not understand and are ignorant of how efficient and smooth these battery saws are but after using them for 7+ years since Stihl introduced their first one, I highly recommend them for anyone looking to get a new saw. Do not even consider a gas saw unless you need to cut something over 22 inches in diameter on a regular basis.

@@isaacanderson3968 I am just a homeowner I have the Stihl 161T, MSA220C and MSA300. I have just watch some videos about the Husky 540iXP for what I can see in the videos is faster that the Stihl 220C but fell short when compared with MSA300, however aparently the batteries last longer on the Husky. Have you had both side by side to compare the MSA300 and the Husky 540iXP?
