The BZL is best e-bus offering around at the moment in my opinion. The 2 stage transmission eliminates all of the traditional flat spots and slow initial acceleration of most other electric buses. And I love how simple and driver-friendly the cab is. You could just be sitting in a Eclipse 2 cab! Well done Volvo and MCV.

I feel like the way volvo make buses are somewhat similar to cars (Mechanical wise). Like when u hear the B5LH (or all ishifts) they sound like a minivan CORRECTION: It's gearboxes. Volvo placed gearboxes even in hybrids and evs. And evidently they work very well.

Theses buses are impressive can’t wait to see them in London on the 251.

It is a perfect bus all over. I am still keeping an eye on them. See if they maybe a good idea for Gloucester when they buy electric buses

That door opening/closing looks in a strange place, all the wet and dirt it will get, smart looking , those using/driving it will be the true judge

They do look abit like the wright streetdecks.

How do you get to drive these buses

The trouble is converting bus drivers to want to drive an EV. They just don't want to sit and wait hours for a charge, even for a rapid charge. They want it to be quick like say hydrogen

Drivers don't do the charging the company handles it if it's runs out of battery they call the company

I think your joking, right….? For a start the first thing I would ask myself is, “where exactly would you charge a bus on a Main Street and it - and many other buses- not cause a *slight* issue with other road users and pedestrians. Seriously, your not taking a 40 footer home and sticking it in your driveway 😊

Too many rattles for a new bus imagine what it be like in 10 years! Also heard a nasty creak twice when turning left. Nearly 13 tonnes for a midi not good.

@LJ07EBP battery is the main source of power, in which the electricity is then generated through the motors, to feed the power into the driveshaft, which turns the wheels.

Don’t like the wooden floor makes the bus look ugly i prefer the actual stagecoach London read and dark blue floor

Don’t like the lights on this bus i prefer the lights on the EV enviro 200 mmc electric

Nice idea but having a set of batteries above your head with a tendency to violently combust at a very fast rate is a horrific idea.
