Even though this car is rough i give nick credit for being honest, he clearly shows and tells us everything he sees wrong with the cars at Maple motors, i might comment but im not running it down, I have bought two cars from maple motors and have no complaints, nick is about as honest of a person as you can find

A personal car show for sure ! 👍😂
I had 4 camaros, a 79 that I put a 454 in and it too had a 4 speed and i put a 12 bolt rear with a Auburn posi and 4.11's in the rear, I had a 77 Z-28 it was all factory 350 with a TH350 auto and 10 bolt posi. A 85 Z28 and an 88 IROC with the 5.7 and converted it to a 5-speed. This camaro brings back a lot of memories. It needs some TLC but could be a sweet ride with some TLC.
Canada needs a place like this...that's a beauty!
I went and looked at this car a while back, it's rough and full of bondo, i couldn't believe they just painted over the rust and z, 28's have the gutter rail over the door windows and it doesn't i think someone chamged the vin plate if the title says z, 28. The guy who owned it wouldn't let me look at the title, ( not maple motors ) the person who owned it before them, he was touching up rust with a model paint brush when I pulled up at his house but the engine sounds ok i drove it about five miles and no problems running, but its more filler than metal. But it's priced as a project and it is. And nick shows the bondo hes not trying to hide anything, he clearly tells you that

@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate you should go to the car auction every Thursday night in Lexington ky i buy cars every week and resale i usually talk to the owner and buy them before they even get in the building and pull em outta line, I clean em up and fix minor problems and take it back the next week and make a few hundred profit and I keep the prices low so were all happy

Ordered a new black '77 Camaro Type LT loaded w/every option via my now lale uncle, who managed a large Chevy dealership. When he called me to take deiivery in early April, I found out that it came with a 2bbl 305 v8 auto, when I had ordered a 350 4bbl auto!! Was VERY angry for not getting the engine which I had requested, but my uncle said that GM could not keep up with the demand for Olds Cutlass Supremes, and was putting Chevy 350 v8s in those cars b/c they were short of Olds "Rocket" 350 v8s. He then told me that the only way to get a 350 engine in a '77 Camaro, was by ordering a new '77 1/2 Camaro z28, but they were only avaiiable with a 3 speed manual...which I learned later was a damned lie, as they were 4 speed 4bbl v8 350cid manuals.
I meant to say that they did away with 396' in the 70 chevelle s and Camaro SS ,after 70/71 they did away with 396 ,because part of the problem was with there solid lifters got hung up a lot, and other reasons were Chevy just didn't think they could use them anymore and, then enters the 400 .
Needs a different cam and thicker engine oil but for $14k, still a good starter that you can learn on as it needs work.
I see the subframe connectors . Good sign to keep the car from twisting. Car definitely needs some love , common rust repair on “F” bodies.

This Z is truly a Dimond in the ruffe and that is why she is priced the way that she is. For she needs some love and I will leave it at that.
Bro, whoever purchases that car best, be ready to either replace the battery or the starter, that was quite draggy, scared me there that second time leaving the gas station. As a blind person who doesn’t drive, I would hate to be stranded if that car broke down. Overall though I love the sound of it, just needs a little TLC in the starting department.
That's actually a rare Camaro ...If my memory serves my right I think Chevy only mad 14k of these in 77 then in 78 they went to the rubber bumper cars ..I had one that was white and I thought it was just a Camaro that someone painted the bumpers to match but later found out they only made a small number of these and that it's rare
The year i was born. And if im not mistaken they didn't make one car in 77 that looked nice? The throttle spring connected to the hose clamp got me cracking up 😂 😂

I watch this sight alot nick is cool and is honest prices seem fair the vehicles are alot cheaper then most sights granted the cars aren't perfect but then again if you want perfect your gonna spend 40 grand or more
Great drag car project. Fiberglass doors, hood and decklid then finish up completing things. Simple cheap build.
Heavily geared rides do suck lol, unless you drop in a 6 speed. Bet you that rear end has a mini spool grenade or welded spiders 😂
Nice car but man oh man why did they put a fuel cell in the trunk?
REALLY WANNA SEE THE TEST DRIVE ON THAT 66 CORONET BEFORE IT SELLS!!!
For a big block Camaro, not a bad price in today’s market.
Nick do you guys get the build sheets with these cars? Like cam specs, bore, etc?
It's either has high compression pistons or a weak battery lol. It does have a lot of potential!
@Tartan1206

More like starter heat soak from the headers. It needs a high torque mini starter and some heat shielding
@tonytrumble

@@Tartan1206 that too but it did it on his first start as well
Deff needs a comp cams vacuum canister installed. First thing I'd do if I bought it. It will also fix the false oil pressure
Has a weak crank might be a bad ground or the ignition switch is going bad I know because my Monte Carlo was doing that same slow crank but with my Monte Carlo if I get the engine warm the ignition switch would heat up and then I have no start until the ignition switch cools down but now I bypass it with the race uses only ignition switch panel now it starts right up like a new car 😅
10 psi at idle - she been run hard! It will likely sell quickly enough, and then become a money pit for the starry eyed buyer.
Right motor, wrong car, all I meant that it's a original motor for a 77" Z28, because they did away with 396 by that year, but they put 400s in instead, but myself I would much rather have that 396 for the streets, absolutely,
You need a little magnet to check bondo spots!

nothing heavier than a fridge magnet is what i use.
Its the yrs lots of people don't like for the bumpers. But if know your looking at. From 74-76. Not one z28 was made. It became ralley sports. And they only came in few colors with what cald L strip as it comes down roof and goes to front. Now as another person stated. Yes very very low number z28 made in 77. It was just a trim package. It had the hood scope shape sticker on hood that became a hood scoop in 78-79. And the z28 in 77 was only offered in couple colors. Oh yea 74- 77 they brought back the tag LT.
maybe bulb out reason turn signal not working,, i just put a radio in the glove compartment that way no one ever steal it,, just a thought.
Pretty good start to have a classic hot rod,👍 Nick.
PASS! I'm surprised that the tiny, stock rear differential hasn't blown out the ring and pinion, especially with a spool or locker in it. The torque of a big block usually needs a 12 bolt Chevy rear or a 9 inch so you don't grenade it. It kinda sounds like it has a set of 4:56's in the rear end. Nick's right about not trying to drive it on the highway. 😮😊😅❤
@cdglasser
8 ай бұрын
The 8.5" 10-bolt is plenty strong for that engine, which is likely to grenade long before the rear given the low oil pressure.
Cool 😎 . Love the old school Cragar Super Slot wheels ! Plus a good value on a rare 77 1/2 Z28 !
i might buy this damn nice
The hood scoop looks good on this Camaro 👍
Good price point, you have lots too work with 😊
Mom dad had one it was 1980 Z-28 350 4-speed It bult out Canada GM plant like that.
Another ride in need of a gearvenders overdrive unit!
It’s an old fixer up it’s priced right for that if it was perfect the price would be a lot higher
I think a mini starter might help.
Little bit more work make nice ride and not a bad price at all 👍

Badass camaro
Needs TLC 😅
The previous owners painted over a lot of rust in trunk lid and door bottoms!
This car is a little rough and needs some work but it's a big block 4 speed! This is a great car for a guy that doesn't care about car show trophies and just wants something he can bomb around in and have fun with. You can fix stuff as you go and it doesn't have to get parked in the garage and be out of commission for months or years as some projects do. Price may be a tad high but again, big block & 4 speed = tons of fun. A lot of guys are going to say it needs this and it needs that but if everything was perfect on it the car would sell of twice the money easy. I'd be interested in buying it myself if I didn't already have eleven cars. 😳😁😁😁
Needs some work carb timing ecsetra
So many little chips in the paint.
I love this car
That has a Beast for an engine
no oil pressure , scares me

Little TCL and wouldn't be terrible.

Car needs a vacuum canister, with that much cam profile. Also, so much rust and poor body in general, that it would be better off with only primer, IMO. It is priced fairly, for the market.
I love
Nice Camaro. But it looks rusted from the inside...
I would have given you 15K plus shipping to send it to me. Would be an easy flip with a little work.

I'd drop that motor in a nova or chevelle 😁🤌🏼 too much filler i could never understand why youd want a low geared car that will blow up at 55mph how are you suppose to make it down the track 🤔✌🏽
