The sheer beauty and the beast of this car brand new in 1969 blows me away. And that 150 MPH speedo WAS INSANE! Motor Trend Car Of The Year Award 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner. yeeaahhh buddy!
You make the best honest videos. Love to see these cars that I wish I could have. If I were to make a purchase, I would definitely contact Maple Motors. Just wish this economy will change. You hide nothing and you are truthfully honest. Thank You and I will keep watching.
Years ago we all wanted the Hemi and now the 440 looks good it’s funny how age changes your mind
GTX can be hard to find. I had an orange 1967 with a 440 in high school in the 80’s as my first car that I bought for myself. KSHE-95 (famous St. Louis rock station) blasting driving to school. That 150 mph speedometer.
Owned one, from mr. Norms bought it new. In 1969 Brings back memories. One bad ass car.

Oh wow you're kidding, mr. Norm Mopars go for a lot of money and is the one everybody wants nowadays. I know how it goes though, I've had a lot a classic Chrysler products that I would love to have today and one was a 70 Roadrunner. Which almost look identical, as they are based on the Belvedere line along with the sport satellite and are badasses when equipped with those big blocks plus six pk setup
Im so glad you guys started picking up more mopar

One of my buds had one of these and it would beat most of the fords and chevys back in the day,I had a 69 satillate but changed the motor when I was in the service on a army base, just before i was shipped off to vietnam,,it was a hellof a good car back then!! Runner
Very beautiful amazing car beautiful colours thanks Nick have a very nice day mate
You'll need to put a sign "Maple Motors Parking" if you want people to know where to park. Otherwise, it's going to be natural instinct to park in front of your office. Either that, or use the parking space for parking your cars so customers can do what's natural and park at your office.

the guy complaining about the price of this car needs to know these dont come cheap these kind of cars keep going up its not nicks felt he got to make money on these cars to buy more and pay his people
Good golly that car sounds gorgeous!!!
I owned a '70 model 2 door hardtop in In Violet. There were 2 of 'em in this area, mine had buckets, console & a 4-speed. The motor was a 440+6 with 4.10 gearing. No power steering but did have power discs. The other car, same color but with a white bench & auto trans with a 383 with 3.55 gearing. Both were nice cars but on a good day mine got around 8 p/g. Of course you buy something like that, you better have deep pockets.

My Roadrunner had a black interior & had less than 50000 miles when I sold it. The motor had a cracked piston skirt & it finally went 1 nite. I pulled the motor down but never did much with it. About a year later, I bought a crated hemi motor for it. That motor had been bought by a local racer who came upon $ troubles. The only thing I did was pull a board off the crate to verify. I later sold that motor for twice what I had in it. I didn't particularly like the car & sold it shortly after I remarried. Dumb ass move! The cars I should've kept I didn't but of all things I do have a car that was fairly rare in it's time, a '58 Cadillac 60 Special. It's got a 3 deuce (factory) engine, 365 cu in, 335 HP. I bought it for the drive train to put into a late '40s - early '50s Chevy pickup. Never got that done either, lol!
Had a 68 would like to own a 70 440 6 pak they were great cars

Beautiful machine. If I could it passed by Philippine government due to age of car----WOW. It would stop traffic then run into speed limit here of 100. That is 100 kilometers per hour or about 63mph. Still beautiful.

YES...Love the GTX...such an underrated car. But I guess when you have the charger,challenger,Cuda...I understand but dam! Hot car Nick! I can hear it now...."It will be my sacrifice ""...fade to black...lol.. I like that dudes idea though...nothing for the video brother.
Oh yeah...1980 I just turned 16 looking for my very first car...the one small lot had an immaculate green 69 GTX 440 4spd, wht interior/wht vinyl top for $900 lol. Too bad even $900 was a little over my budget....also my dad knew how I was on dirt bikes, he was not at all in support of me having a 400HP vehicle for my very first car. Still every time I see a GTX it reminds me of the one I never had that I could've bought for $900....of course just about every small car lot in the 80's in my area looked like Maple Motors lol.
Looks good nick
Also Luvin the MOPARS
Looks pretty clean so far
Thought the Drones had taken over !! Great job Nick on the videos! Coming to visit next time in Music city. This is the one for me, need a bigger garage first. MeepMeep. This beauty needs some love but she deserves it! Brilliant marketing by the way.
Always loved these.
I had a '70 Dodge SuperBee 383 Pistol Grip at one point with 150 on the speedo and I took it out for test on a long straight and it did every bit of 150 and then some!... Anyone who has ever done this knows how driving at that speed when "telephone poles start to look like a picket fences!"... Only until the front end start floating did I decide that "Yep! that speedo doesn't lie!..."
That's big ole boat🤣
You shouldn’t ever drive a 727 without a kickdown hooked up. You will fry it in no time. I learned this the hard way. Great video!!!! Love the Mopars and Chevelles, do you do partial trades? Financing?

My Dad had a 69 GTX. It had a 440 magnum. He couldn't keep a automatic transmission in it. It would RIP it to shreds. He had to put a built transmission in it. That was a bad car. It was yellow with black stripes. That was his favorite car besides the 71 440 cuda pistol grip 4 speed and a 64 an a half fastback mustang 390 4 speed.
To cool!
Horn works👍
Not sure how rare In Violet was, it was next door to black. It'd be interesting to find out. Those 2 cars I ever saw in that color. I was the 2nd owner, it came from Ft Branch, IN.

Who cares about the title dammit? This price allows you to daily drive one of the most legendary Muscle cars in the USA. You want a numbers matching trailer queen where, you drive it on and off, then sit on your ass in the hot sun hoping you live long enough for the value to go up, and know for a fact your grandkids will sell it quicker than a cat can lick it's ass when you pass on..while people walk by and drool on it. Hell no! Not me! I'll drive mine till it quits or I do. Thanks Nick for bringing affordable muscle to those of us who want to drive baby drive!
Still remember the VIN #, RM23VOG158645, anyone know where it's at?
Don't take this wrong. I'm an old mountain boy myself. Nick you make simple brilliant! And I love your music!

Love the car, but. What's going on with the windshield? It appears to be heavily scratched/etched (bad wiper arm or blade?) As a potential buyer, I would also be greatly concerned with the multitude of electrical gremlins going on behind the dash. The wide stripes on the hood are found on the 'runner, but I thought those on the GTX were smaller and narrower? Great video.

@Pauly Gambino Thanks for the info. I do see other potential issues with that car, but wanted to be polite. And, you're right. Learned a hard lesson the only time I bought a car without inspecting it myself. Now, I don't buy anything without personally checking it out. I don't trust even so called professional appraisers, unless it would be Galen Govier.

Sometimes we do when we have a chance
It either doesn't have the original powertrain, or it's not a genuine GTX and is a clone for that kind of money. A numbers matching GTX would go for more than that, and is probably a satellite made to look like one. Also the Roadrunner is based on the same Belvedere line and are the second most sought-after. You'd be able to tell by looking at the fender tag etc, and GTX also has leather. They were advertised as the gentleman's muscle car because of that, and also had power windows with all the bells n whistles
Car starts I get a chubbie!
Damn no horn
rebuilt title? does that mean it was a write off according to insurance and then someone bought it and re built to get a pass? Just asking.

She seems a whole lot better than that 440 in the super bee. I like these GTX's too. What's the GTX have over the base road runner? Anyone know? ....It's not power steering lol. Probably a mild suspension upgrade and a default 440?
@Warrior_Resisting_Colonialism

@@morecowbell69 Yeah, that much I was aware of. I was just wondering what the GTX got you, over the base, road runner. Googling, it appears I was correct, in that the GTX got the 440 by default but I didn't see much else. I really wonder if power sterring wouldn't have been included in all GTX cars too, I find that very strange. I almost wonder if someone special ordered it to be manual steering.
@ohboy2592

In short, the road runner got you to the finish line quicker and faster.
Is it possible a GTX was made without power steering? Seems unlikely.
Vin# RS ?
“Kickdown is not hooked up” that’s fine, you don’t need kickdown when you have 7 liters of American muscle pushing you
Rebuild ??? Depends on who
