When did we lose sight of our dreams? When did life become a constant repetitive series of boring episodes, each day a near exact copy of the last? The truth is, the flow of time is not constant, and our perception of it is warped and twisted, and is a downright cruel joke sometimes. We live in islands of time, where one important event is preceded by many - or few, I guess - repetitive tasks before it, and then superseded by the same tasks before the following event. Take booking a doctor's appointment a few months in advance, for example. Months suddenly shrink into days, days shrink into mere seconds while we repeat the same process over and over again, waiting for that appointment to happen. Most of the time we spending living is in those moments when we're not doing anything, those moments when we sit back and look at ourselves and wonder how we got here. Wonder who we are. Wonder where we're going. The truth is, life is not short, nor is it long. It's simply a measure of time allocated to each person for us to grow as an individual and as a species, as a civilization together. Enjoy every moment before you no longer have the ability to, but also allocate time to plan the future and catch sight of your dreams once again. Those childhood dreams swallowed up by the waves, and the dreams you had with other people that got blown away by the storm. Time is a cruel mistress, and fate is but a mere daydream. We're not meant to live our life like this, spending every day just to meet the next head on. We're trapped in a cycle of just getting through today, so we might realist our dreams tomorrow. But in truth, waiting for tomorrow will seem like an eternity if you try persevere through the endless flow of time that way. If you truly want to make the most of the boring days when you're just waiting, take the time to plan out your future. Dream big, because even if you don't reach the stars, you'll have a hell of a lot of fun just building the ladder. The universe is our playground, and we're the children. The laws of physics are the rules, and we must abide by them, even if they may seem silly or unjust. Even with such harsh bindings and laws, life has still blossomed on this pale, fragile blue marble. If with such impossible odds something beautiful like us could exist, we should make the most of it. Who knows, maybe intelligent life might reappear sometime arbitrarily far in the future, but it certainly won't be us. The fact that you are reading this means that you still have a chance to make your life better. So get a brush made from stardust and use the universe as your canvas, as this might be the only chance we have to shape the universe with true beauty. Even if you might feel hopeless, have courage. All is not lost if you're still alive, no matter how crippled or wounded you may be. So have the courage to pick yourself up with your own two hands, to stand on your own two feet. Roar in defiance at the world, because it'll have to try harder if it wants to stop you. You - and only you - have the strength to get out of your situation, the strength to put one foot in front of the other, the strength to never lose hope. I've been through some of the worst incidents myself, and I'm still standing. I'm still standing, because I never lost hope. I'm still standing, because I always had the courage to keep pushing forward, because I always had the strength to stand on my feet, because I never lost sight of the future where I was happy. If I could do it, so can you. You have the same strength I do, you just haven't realized it yet. So take my hand, and I'll lead you into a better future. Walk by my side, because I'll always catch you if you fall. You can do it, trust me. Just never, ever give up.

Im so sorry for your loss and depression, the comment below "Jesus is the answer" THAT'S TRUE, but we always want a instant "fix". God wants us to trust Him and keep going even when we don't think anything is happening, because He is ALWAYS moving even when we cant see it! I lost a brother too, and have always delt with depression I've been searching Scriptures daily for 6 yrs now and was a suicidal/addict/homeless low down at some points, but now I have Joy I can't explain even when things are going tough, this short life is temporary but I can't imagine walking it without Christ again 😱🚫 Find a good church and KEEP GOING (God is way ahead of us, and infinitely beyond us in knowledge) so don't trust how you think or feel, trust God and He will reveal Himself to you and give you peace💯 🙏🙏♥️

My mom went through so much pain during her cancer trauma and she lost the battle. My dad and I were both there in her last moments in the ER and we didn’t know how to take it in I made sure this song was played at her services though. Definitely a hard pill to swallow.

I've read many inspirational quotes down here and I doubt mine will be read or praised by many. Nonetheless here it goes: this song for me is about moving on. It's sad because it means we are abandoning hope for what is past, its also magnificent because our spirits are evolving. O filme pode não ser muito bem o que esperavam, mas é um fato que Jablonsky fez um trabalho incrível na OST do filme. Eu amo as tracks dele, e essa é uma das mais incríveis, junto de Arrival To Earth, que é sem dúvida a mais épica feita por ele. Tessa é uma personagem chata, mas a track dela é fenomenal. Espero que a referenciem algum dia nessa nova franquia, como fizeram com "Arrival To Earth" e "No Sacrifice, No Victory" no final de Transformers: O Despertar das Feras. Seria de cortar corações, na moral. Seria incrível. Uma track dessas não pode nunca ser esquecida.

Losing my dad , watching my brother's marriage breaking apart, losing my 2 sister's, wittinessing my another sister's husband passing away in a road accident was too much to bear... What's even more painful is living in this world with this knowledge of them being no more. Only thing that keeps me going, perhaps, is that I want to fulfill every dream they saw for our family to be. I wanna complete all those before I meet them.😞

I work night shift. Everytime I got home around 2am as soon as I stepped out off my car, I looked straight up to the opening sky seeing all these stars. And always wondering, is there anything out there is looking at me right now as I looking up to them at the moment? It's sad that I'll never know that but I kept looking up. Somehow it gives my hope in life.

Is a person who hates you worth putting energy into? A person whom you have done nothing for to hate you, a person who has destroyed your meaning in life, someone who don't deserve something good, because they don't feel bad for it. I could have maybe understood your point if you talk about the people who don't realise how cruel they are, who are not conscious about their words and actions, but it sounds like you're referring to all "haters", including those who have destroyed you and your feeling of meaning and belonging in life. And again I said, people, are not our enemy, they're just lost, this world is full of evil, look at the world, it's getting worse and worse. The point is, Love is important, Forgive, let go and let God. But it's hard especially if you don't know Christ. When all things goes wrong and don't know what to do, go to Jesus. Last thing, to tell you the truth, believe me, or not, one day, sooner or later, many people will suddenly disappear, those people will go to heaven, but it doesn't end there, I'm worried for the people left behind on earth because they did not believe in Christ, they have to endure a very hard period of 7 years. Don't you know Jesus is the only way to Heaven? and it's simple than you think, you just need to confess it and ask for forgiveness. But don't stop there you need to grow your faith. That is all, God Bless!

This song makes me feel two completely different emotions that still complement each other. It reminds me of bad days gone by and good days to come. It reminds me of people who are gone and people who are to come. It reminds me of the things I failed and the things I will conquer. The dreams that will come true and those that are being realized right now, without me even realizing it. After all, this song boils down to one word for me: HOPE. Hope these dark days are gone. Hope that I can always try again. Hope that it will never be too late to do good. Hope that I will still find good people who care about me. Hope that I can realize that life is worth it. @@MaazAltaf Both Halo 2 and Halo 4 with a mention in Halo 3. At the end of the Halo 2 level, "High Charity," Chief jumps aboard the Forerunner ship thats departing for Earth. He says to Cortana "After I'm through with Truth..." where she cuts him off and says the quote. Then in Halo 3's level "Cortana" where Chief has to push through an infested High Charity on a rescue operation, he finds Cortana and says "You know me, when I make a promise..." and she replies "You keep it. I do know how to pick'em." Chief: "Lucky me." Lastly, in Halo 4's second level, "Requiem," Chief finds out that Cortana is going rampant and says he will get her back to Earth and find Dr. Halsey (Cortana's creator) who can fix her. Yet again, she drops the promise quote. Its a theme.

When I listen to this is makes me imagine and picture my walk with God and Jesus the battles against satan I have faced, the 0nes I've lost and loved, the pain and sorrow I've gone through that God pulled me through the love and blessings he has bestowed upon me and the end of my life going into Heaven

I miss when I had it all before me and not behind me.

@@musicallyinduced agreed. Loving your neighbours wife is the fools folly. Love is only wise when directed wisely. Love directed in the wrong way has been many a man's downfall.

@@kroneexe Sure but it can be. And romantic love is definitely not always wise :P It is not wise to show love to your child when they have just done something hurtful to someone else as this positively reinforces the behavior. All I am saying is wisdom is discerning appropriate times to give all things - including love. Its not black and white. Bad - Good. Wisdom is in the details.
