Because Caitlin was the best player in ncca women's hands down no competition.....South Carolina has the best team in Ncca Women's basketball but that's a team effort not individual so it's not a sexy headline that will get attention....The media will always follow hype and headlines when a phenom is breaking records and has a chance at a title as the ultimate goal to solidify their Greatness.... Tessa Johnson snapped her left femur in half in high school. The dang thigh bone - and not just a fracture, but a clean break. The strongest bone in the body - and arguably one of the most important for mobility, balance, and stability when you consider how many (and the importance of) muscles, ligaments and tendons it supports. Think about that when you watch her glide up and down the court - drive to the basket - step back and hit the midranges, etc. She is fearless. The fact that she plays at such a high level with that kind of traumatic leg injury is so impressive. She is one to watch for many years! She has quickly become one of my favorites on the team.

Amazing to go undefeated in any elite sport, congrats to the Gamecocks and they deserve all the attention for that alone.

Cardozo had 15 points, 17 rebounds, 3 blocks and some other altered shots. She's dominant on the boards and defensively. South Carolina will miss her.

Just found out that back in high school she suffered a major injury (a femur break! )and she is HERE dropping 19 points and winning the NCAA Division I Women’s National championship as a freshman. I don’t know if we even realize how more than incredible this is. Just jaw-dropping for me.

Iowa should've lost to LSU... the refs helped them win that game, too. Angel Reese was fouled going to the hoop... that Iowa player committed a blocking foul... her feet were never set.

It was so obvious... I think they were ordered by the powers that be to give Iowa those last two wins, too... even the commentators have been talking mostly about Caitlin Clark than any other player. Sue Bird predicted an Iowa blowout. I don't know what she was thinking. She must not have been watching SC all year.
