It's mind blowing that silicon, metal and electrons can emulate the driving function of the human central nervous system so well. Not if, but when FSD surpasses the average protein computer.

I like your attitude towards FSD. Enthusiastic but realistic. Comfortably between fanboy and negative nancy. As far as "one stack to rule them all" you probably saw elons tweet by now. That was pushed to 10.1 for now. Kinda a big step. Not surprised if it gets delayed further. And wide release is probably at least a few months out still(trying not to get my hopes up).

I remember about a decade ago when the DARPA challenges were going on, not a single car could even make it to the finish line. Just how far we have come is truly incredible. I did not think I would see this until I was 60 years old.

“We don’t drive that way here”. Can you imagine how hard it would be to determine standards for the car to follow since people all over the world drive different ways. I assume some of these will become settings (like rolling stop or not, how to respond to a yellow flashing light, etc). In the meantime I hope people can be patient. Not everything will match your driving style. And perhaps not everything should.

Nice to see the incremental improvement. Thanks to Stephanie, Mrs. dirty Tesla for her understanding of our full self driving needs.

One thing I noticed that wasn't commented on was that the screen visualization of passing cars has less of a delay than the same visualization in my non-beta Tesla.

That roundabout was freaking awesome. I'd say overall this update seems to be about anticipation in general (slowing for a sign early, starting to move for left turn in anticipation that cars will be gone by the time it turns, etc...)

This release looks like a step change for natural driving and turns, but not for elimination of edge case mistakes. The long tail is still long, but I'm really confident this approach is going to work. Dojo should accelerate the progress.

It's amazing. Finally a big improvement. I was getting a bit disillusioned after a few months with only small improvements, but this shows that they are really moving forward and solving problems.

The progression is amazing, can’t wait to get it as I have FSD.
