When I said "this morning" in the beginning of this video, that was when I thought I could get the editing and uploading done in one day... Turns out the first right on red was marked as no right on red. I didn't see it while I was there or while editing. Apparently neither did Autopilot. Oops ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Love your vids, and totally support the idea of sponsors, but not everything from the VPN script you read is true. Alas I know if you want to be sponsored by a VPN, they make you say certain things verbatim. But I also think the untrue statements is where the line should be drawn. Remarkable.....you are the only one that is letting Autopilot just cancel its route and reroute autmatically......which is astounding. Most testers give up, disengage prematurely, and don't let the car do what it can. You are HEADLINING its ability to reroute and that's what lets your car go to its endpoint without disengagements. Thank you so much for not disengaging.....as you say, you are really letting it show how unbelievably powerful this new version is. I hope the other testers will take your lead and let the car give up a difficult situation and automatically find another way and reroute.....so it still gets to your destination. Wow, you, and FSD are remarkable.

@@pc_screen5478 there is a difference between intervening and disengaging. For instance, if the car is in FSD and is at a stop sign and is hesitating or slow to advance and the driver presses the accelerator the car will move forward and "learn" it should advance more quickly, without disengaging FSD. There is no need to press the button to report anything, and again, FSD is NOT disengaged. The real issue--and it is not really a big thing--is that these drivers are called "beta testers" when really they are training the neural network. Beta tester is a throwback term more suitable to traditional software development. Neural Net Trainers would be more accurate.

To answer a couple of your questions: on the first corner @ 3:27, I suppose it was reasonably cautious; however, it was trying to execute a right turn on a red light when there is a sign strictly forbidding that. IMO that should be one of the signs that should be obeyed by FSD, even if it is customary for the locals to ignore the sign. The second question you had was regarding the view from the 360 deg camera when trying to leave the parallel parking spot and merge with traffic. I thought it was just like me shoulder checking for a gap, so I thought it was great. Please keep up the excellent content.

Great video and wonderful update. Only suggestion is you should flip the top video (mirror it) so that it matches what you are seeing as if you were looking through the rear view as you described. It's fine when looking forward, only flip when looking backwards.

I live in the Bay Area and dread driving up to the city. I would also characterize my driving there as “ungraceful” (sometimes bordering on “disaster”). The whole city is an edge case with erratic cyclists and pedestrians, crazy ass traffic patterns and blind intersections and hill crests. V10 is indeed mind blowing.

Awesome video. You captured so many corner cases. Holy cow San Fran is brutal for driving. I really hope V10.1 brings more data into the visualisations, like indicators, brake lights or hazard lights, etc. and conveys more information about what the FSD computer knows is happening. E.g. the big truck at the end had its hazards on, autopilot could light it up red, saying it is blocking the path and it plans to go around it. Regarding the single stack, I think Elon did say something about V10 (inspirationally), but you know, Elon time. But sounds like V10.1 will have the single stack for city driving, highway and smart summon. Can't wait for the next drop in 3 weeks time.

Awesome video, you are the most entertaining FSD KZread by far! I felt the “side view” at 19:00 needed to be actually flipped the other way? At 22:20 it feels a lot more natural and it’s the same view but not flipped.

This is f'n incredible. As someone from Maine, imagining how stressful it would be to drive on these streets in these situations is terrifying. I know a lot of people who just would not be able to do it, and your car is able to process so much more information than humans. Like at the intersection when it was creeping forward, watching for pedestrians, bikers, and cars.... amazing. Even someone with ADHD would struggle to process that much information at once
