We where very happy with our Hyindai Kona as well which we drove for 10 months and 48,000km with not a single problem. Only issue with it was the size...just a little small for our needs. Correction for your correction. The model compared is the base Ioniq RWD. Power : 160 kW Rear Torque: 350 Nm Acceleration: 0-100 km/h 7.4 seconds. Even the more powerful dual motor Ioniq 5 does 0-100 in 5.1 seconds.

I'd go with Hyundai. I don't really see a big difference between the two honestly - they are all minor and nit-picky. It boils down to Hyundai having a better UX (generally speaking) and a commitment AGAINST subscription fees for vehicle features. THAT SAID - I'd still wait for another generation or two before getting any new BEV. EDIT: BEVs are still just too expensive right now, incentives or not.

A model Y long range was recently $49,990 coming down to $42,490 after $7,500 tax credit. Toyota dealers are marking up RAV4 primes above $50,000 and the hybrid Rav4 is close to the price of a Model Y after the credit. With the electric vehicle, driving average miles per year, our fuel/electricity is about 20 dollars per month.

@@dvader3263 and you make my point - after rebate. That's still a big ask for many people, especially if you are leasing or are on a budget. I love the idea of EVs (and I want one), but at that price I can purchase 2 used ICE vehicles or one used ICE luxury car (used BEVs are overpriced in Canada IMHO). We need the EV equivalent of a Toyota Corolla, it hasn't happened yet. That said, I'm not saying buy ICE, buy what you can afford. Environmentally speaking, you'll have a bigger impact advocating for improved public transport than driving around in an EV by yourself surrounded by ICE and EVs stuck in traffic.

You said "best" time for 0-60 but used Tesla's slowest. You should have done the range thing like you did for range category - 3.5 - 5. Don't give the fanboys ammo to show you are slanted. 0-60 is not an important stat to me but getting out of tight spot on the interstate is where it does help.

Thats a very biased review. Tesla, has down, the best EV maker in the world. 1st company to push EV and set the standard. Tesla required no maintenance while ionic 5 has some oil that need to be changed every 10k miles. Tesla milage are way more accurate that ionic 5 and the super charging network is a key for any ev buyer. Finally with ionic 5, u r dealing with a dealer, negotiation, hassles enytime u need a service… while tesla is much better experience with zero hassle.

You always say you are impartial, but I can diffently see a bias against Tesla, I am not saying what you are saying is incorrect, but you can always take something one way or another. You take every advantage of trying to make Tesla look bad. Sure there are some problems, but I can guarantee if I look for problems with the Ioniq 5 I would find them. Also being an American, I want to support an American company. Also I would like you to review the Ioniq mission statements of what they want to do for the world. What patents are they giving away for free to help the world transition to a sustainable future. I love you and have been a subscriber for a long time. Hate is never a good thing, and all I see is hate for tesla now. Maybe you should make a video about all the good things tesla offers vs all the problems it has. Do that for all the vehicles, and let the customers decide. As you say you are always for the people/customers. You also say that every person has their own reasons for the car they choose.
