Thanks for the video. Rear seat room is what i was the most curious about, sticking with my MYP order. I almost switched to M3P to save a bit of money. But with kids I’ll stick with the larger rear seat.

Great vid. I’m torn 😀. I like the compact sport lux look of the 3, but practicality if the Y (wish it had a lower roof line also).

What really shocked me about the Y was the amazing legroom in the passenger seat. I felt like a little kid at 6ft tall

At 6'-7" the Model Y will be better for me. This past June we purchased a Model 3 LR for my wife and she loves it. Happy wife happy life. I am now waiting for a Model Y with the new 4680 batteries. And yes, I know that I will be waiting a long long time. But hey another great video as it is always informative when the 3 and Y are compared. Thank you!

Thanks for the video, Gjeebs! We have a MYLR, and we've been considering an additional Model Y or 3 to replace the remaining ICE SUV we own. One suggestion for your videos in the future would be car seats. You can pick up some cheap ones to represent the space in each of your car reviews, or I can honestly send you my old Chicco seats that my kids just grew out of. I know other KZreadrs do it already, but I appreciate your feedback.

My husband and I have a 3, my aunt and mom have Y and they're awesome on their own ways

My Model Y feels so much bigger than a 3 on the inside (I'm 6'4" so a Model 3 is a little small for me). There are a couple Model 3s in my extended family and the difference feels much bigger than the numbers suggest.

Could you do a video on aftermarket spare wheel for Tesla’s. Some have been looking for those since newer cars now aren’t equipped.

You didn't make any comments on the difference in ride comfort and stiffness of the suspension in each car in this video. That's the one main concern I have with the Model Y, i.e., the rough ride over bumps or road imperfections. As I recall in one or two of your previous vids you got a modified suspension kit and changed wheel and tire size to improve ride comfort. Can you speak to that topic? Thanks

In every SUV where the rear seats recline, the reclined position is the preferred way. Only if you needed the space in the way back would you put the seats upright. However there is considerably less headroom in the rear seats of the Model Y when reclined because of the structural bar with airbags above. My head brushed it while sitting normally, and I’m only 5’11”. Maybe my early test drive model was different, but for me the roofline of the Model Y is too flat.

Big blind spot in the M3 compared to my MS.. noticed this immediately when I was renting Tesla’s prior to my purchase… hence I bought the MS performance for its speed and visibility 😊

Saw you at my job about a month ago in Tucson. You were charging your Tesla at a Pilot Travel Center. I drive an ST and it was parked by the chargers haha.

I think my biggest peeve of driving my model 3 is that the shoulder height of the seats is so high that when i shoulder check, it's tough to see the full back window as a lot of it is obstructed by the seat. i dont know if its just me.

I have acceleration boost added 1 week after i got my Model Y in Sepemter 2021, it is 50 more horepower, you can buy it and try it for 48 hours( cant remeber is 24 or 48 ) , if you dont like it, just request a refund, I did it the first time : buy and returen, and decided to buy it for good , By the way, once you pay it online, it kick in immediatly almost in 1 minite , it is just a switch Tesla need to unlock it in the Car , you can try it , for me, I definity can feel the differences

1) the found condom / going to work comment for the disruptive driver was hilarious. 2) the table right side up and upside down analogy for high and low centers of gravity is a good one. If your physics teacher heard this comment I’m certain she’d lift up her skirt for you.

Model 3 is better value but Y simply looks better. I’m over 6 ft tall and model 3 still fit and I am a single.

3 over Y the 3 is way more balance in its dynamics the Y feels like a grandmas vehicle

If you do NOT have a model 3 and a Y next to each other, - how do you tell if you are looking at a 3 or a Y?

I drove both back to back. I have to say, that the model y in my opinion "felt" better then the model 3.

You didn't lie down in the 3.

When including tax, the difference between the least expensive model 3 in the least expensive model Y is $15,000. Even though we like all of the space in the model Y, we couldn’t justify that much cost. We have ordered the model 3 and it is expected to be delivered in January. Cannot wait!

The $8000 rebate is coming for both cars in January, you should have got the Y, so then it'll only have been $7000 more

Tax rates aren't the same everywhere. I had a difference of less than half that, including taxes.
