Might want to invest in a better light very difficult to see, fortunately these are very simple to install. I put the rubber seal and all the pieces together first, then 2 pieces of duct tape at the seams to keep them connected. Remove the duct tape after install!

Thanks for sharing, but I had some anxiety when you started using that flat head against paint 😂. Might want to use a trim remover tool that's vinyl. Has less chance of marring that beautiful paint.

Water tight is not the same as air tight. Air tight is a lot tighter. However, there will definitely be a difference, though you may not notice it. I saw on another channel of a guy who tested this method due to it preventing the air filter from getting wet from rain and smelling(known issue with model 3/y) and there was a 20% air flow reduction with this type of contraption. On hot days, the car will be working harder to keep the cabin cool, but most days you probably wouldn't notice.

Weird, I have a June 2022 Model 3 and it does already include a plastic trip there. It is not going on the whole width, it is 2 separate parts on the left and one the right (but nothing in the middle where it is less necessary I guess. How old are your Model 3 ?

This is a 2021 Model Y.

I just purchased my 2023 Model 3 and it has one 6” rubber blade on the left and one 6” rubber blade on the right with nothing in the middle. Also there are no clips to attach anything to.

Starting in late 2021 (mine's a 2021) they started putting those plastic pieces on the side, probably to try to address this problem. I removed those and applied the full length piece. The new one covers the whole center but not as much of the sides as the factory pieces, and the weatherstripping on the new one is smaller since it seals to the grey plastic versus the windshield like the factory pieces. I'm not sure which is better, but I know I got the wet hvac smell in my '21 with the factory pieces so I was happy to pull them off and put the new one in their place to give it a try. Just did it, so no results to share yet.

Does this work for a 2020 model 3?

Weird. I think that’s because there is already 20% off because of the Prime special going on today. I don’t think you can stack them.
