You can't outdone a German. It is impossible. Only German can out do German and no one else when it comes to cars. Tesla can be as environmental as much as you want but pops and bangs and those sounds and overall speed aero dynamics and everything is in the end taken by German OEMs.

its not even fair to compare an electric car with petrol cars in a drag race. Because electric cars skip the process of combustion so they will launch much faster. So normally electric cars will win... i'm in fact very surprised that the audi could launch as quick as the tesla

Sam I don’t think it is. I just find it weird because the best 0-60 time from the Tesla is 2.9 seconds and that didn’t seem like it was somewhat near to that. The Audi even won from the beginning which is even more weird 😕 but idk, maybe it’s too cold outside or battery’s weren’t very charged

@@dinospd launch control does just that for the Audi , max torque from standstill. Turbo is spooled, revs are right where the sweetspot is so the only thing is gearbox losses, but in any case you have 600nm unleashed from standstill, just like Tesla.

What’s with the 11.9 seconds on the M3P ... as you all know, 11.5s are easily achievable by most. Some have gotten 11.3x’s with the latest power update. I have a TTRS the mode you put it in only effects the steering and suspension, makes no difference to the acceleration at all, that’s all to do with the gearbox being in the S setting and even that doesn’t make a difference if you really plant your foot

Glen Clough I have an A4, and it absolutely does make a difference. It doesn’t accelerate as hard as in Dynamic as opposed to Comfort. When you put it in dynamic mode the gearbox automatically changes to sport mode. You can put it in comfort mode but still have the gearbox in sport mode, but on the dash it says D which tells me it’s in Comfort mode and normal gearbox. If it was Comfort + Sport Gearbox it would show S.

R. RiDER I agree the gearbox here was in D mode but if you really plant your foot down it makes no difference what setting the gearbox is in or what drive mode you’re in either. I’ve tested it tons of times in my TTRS

Not to sound like a fanboy but Tesla definitely seems the best performance per cost vehicle. Plus Netflix on the screen. It is nearly 2020 already.

It's funny that for an extra 15,000 GBP (about $20,000 USD) you can get THE SAME performance as a Tesla 3 Performance when you buy an Audi RS5. Sure the RS5 will do better at the top end (over 130Mph) but in real life, unless you cruise the autobahn at 210km/h+ every day - not really a real-world thing. Also - with the latest Tesla software update the P3P should get better than a 11.9 - in fact Dragtimes currently shows a 0.25 mile at 11.62 seconds (under ideal conditions - fully charged etc.). And rumor has it that the P3P will get Launch Mode in 2020 which should knock down that number further. We'll see :)

I have owned an Audi RS4 and Nissan R35 GTR and loved them both. But for 95% of the time in every day driving I prefer my Model 3 P. It is quiet, stealth fast, smooth, safe, quite spacious and has the most comfortable seats and best audio I have experienced in a car. I charge it off roof top solar, it doesn't require servicing, and costs almost nothing to run. Sure, the GTR is faster over 100 mph and quicker round a track. But it's no contest when choosing a car for real world driving.

Would have been hilarious if the voice assistant registered only the "emergency" in full emergency stop & actually called the emergency

The Tesla Model 3 wins on value alone. It cost $US18k less than the Audi for equivalent or better performance. Maintenance cost is practically zero. Charge at home for 1/4 the cost of gas. Or charge for FREE with solar on your roof. It gets better with time with FREE over the air updates. And it can drive itself. It's the safest car ever. And the cherry on top, best resel value of any car on the market.

Seems unfair though if it was a C63 especially the new one. I mean not only that they have big horsepower they're also awd and a lot lighter than the glc 63 so you already know who wins. This video is like to show how weight affects the performance. So even though you have like 60 horsepower more you would still lose if you weigh like 300kg more. Just kinda like that you know

@@a_stone that's why I want a Mercedes or an audi or a BMW or even A more luxurious VW. There is still almost no electric version of them on the market until in the case of Audi very recently with it's E-tron, but I will pick these brands all above Tesla. I just don't like the designs of most Tesla's aside the fact that they lack character because everything is TOO minimalistic. It's like a human without eyebrows and no cheeck bones. What are you then? Correct an alien. So no. The designs, comfort, elegance of both interior and exterior of these cars mentioned alone blows all Tesla cars out of the water. And we talk about affordable cars like the Tesla 3. Also. Tesla 3ib particular and it's seating behind is horrendous. You can absolutely not sit there for a long period

I love my RS5. Tesla boys hate doing digs with me. At sea level, I did a launch 0-60 in 3.2 secs. Was about half a car ahead of the same dual motor model 3 and then just walked him. I. Never been more proud! Also, I do a lot of canyon driving for fun, and the RS5 is so dialed in. No overwhelming understeer like the multiple other Audi’s I’ve had. For Colorado weather and the Quattro All Wheel drive, you simply cannot beat it!
