The Fsd capability is still trending up and Tesla has so much levers that they can pull it's hard not buy right now. So I'm buying and hoping for a segnificant drop in shre price.

I’m using the fsd trial and plan to subscribe, it works well especially in traffic. It’s too slow for high speed quick lane changing. That being said I can’t believe the technology is available today, not 10 years in the future

HK airport is using byd auto drive feeder bus now. Guess they are working on that area as well. Bullet train development history is a good reference, Tesla have to work harder to maintain the obvious lead of tech.

I think it just looks like capital allocation and prioritization. 25k car and robotaxi shares the same platform. Finally got the GPU's they need for training, so makes sense to move the engineers to polish the robotaxi while FSD is being polished as well. Move on the project that you are so far ahead than the competition rather than play the same game as the others in China. Especially while interest rates and China's economic state is out of your control. However, short term I fear there will be pain. Institutions will sell out

Hype on EVs dying off is a good thing. Tourists will leave, but builders will continue building. Technologies like AI went through numerous hype cycle from the 90s to present day before hitting the homerun. Battery technology are improving at a rapid pace. Fossil fuels are only getting more expensive. Cost of renewables will get even cheaper. It is just a matter of time before a EV renaissance. The writing are on the wall.

Eric has raised some very good risk assessment. FSD is Tesla's trump card. If it does not work out, Tesla will tank. Many Tesla investors thinks that FSD is the best and is far ahead. I don't think so. Nvidia is creating a virtual world for companies to virtually train inside this virtual world. My take is that to reach level 5 self driving, the AI must possess basic human reasoning skills to make sense of the road condition. While Wayve may not be widely known, I believe their approach has the potential to pave the way for truly autonomous self-driving cars at a very low cost.

@BoonTee In my opinion, high risk with limited upside but significant downside. Risk includes intense competition in China where consumers are increasingly patriotic (long term), intense competition in intentional market (long term), EV demand in US has past period of high demand from early adopter, Nvidia competing with Tesla to lead the emerging robotic industry including self driving car (can't see how Tesla can outmatch Nvidia). Tesla entry into robotaxi is fraught with risk as it must demonstrate that it is not just promising but financially highly profitable.

I thought Tesla's target market is mid to high-end markets. Robotaxi is pretty much utilitarian. Is it deployed just to collect more data? If Robotaxis are mass-manufactured by Tesla, will the margin be suffered? Or this is just another story of growth-at-all-costs?

current target is mid to high-end. But their ambition is not to stay within certain niche. They want to be in mass market. So $25k car is a matter of when not if

I feel that comparing FSD development and Cybertruck development is not apples to apples comparison. One is software and one is hardware. Elon did mentioned before that scaling up the mass production of vehicles are orders of magnitude more difficult than it seems. As FSD is basically software, it should be easier to scale up and deploy. In terms of FSD's rate of learning speed, its getting faster and faster.

EV as a whole will be the thing in the future, in a long run the economical and environmental aspect of using EV outweighs the use of ice vehicle. The share price of Tesla going up and down in these 1 to 2 years due to many economy reason is just for traders and fud new. I believe Tesla and BYD will eat up most EV markets around the world, ice vehicle makers per car basis is losing money making EV.
