Tesla FSD 12.3.6 - The Secret to FAST Autopark

Ғылым және технология

Many people complain about the slow speeds of Tesla's Autopark in FSD 12.3.6. While there's room for improvement, you can cut it down to half the time with this secret!

I agree with what you said. People are not driving far enough ahead of the parking space before hitting the space with the 'P' in it. I drive ahead and when it lights up I pull ahead about 1/2 of another space to give it enough room to get the trajectory just right to park in one shot. There has been maybe like 3 or 4 times the car had to correct itself in some way.

Can you do one at the supercharger? Those spaces are usually pretty tight.

@@DerekDavis213 I don't know anyone at Tesla I'm just a software programmer following Tesla closely. In a more exact term, it's a full retrain model (now it's only neural networks) they have alpha version of more advanced version with different data and maybe architecture that expand new capabilities (like fusing auto-park and fsd) but these models are not as stable and have dangerous quirks. So Tesla knows in advance (a few months) the capabilities of next Gen models

@@DG123z I know that the real *physical* *world* is exremely complex and random, for a simpleton FSD computer to fully understand and react to in less than a second. A human mind can think, reason, analyze, and draw on *decades* of experience to make the correct decision while driving a car. FSD just does simple pattern matching, from its huge database. FSD cannot *think* like a human being. Not even close.

There is no such thing as fast autopilot. First you have to be going 8 mph or less for the system to show possible parking spots. So that adds a lot of time. Most people go faster when selecting a spot. Second, the car only backs up at 1mph which is terribly slow compared to how fast the average driver backs in themselves. Third, it takes too long for the car to start moving once you select the start button. Have I used it yes but every time I do the slowness is painful. And I do agree setting the car up for the spot is important but not enough for me to want to use auto park very often. Even Tesla has admitted auto park is slow and they will speed it up.

Isn't is much faster and easier if a human with big brain just parks the car himself? In a crowded parking lot, nobody has time to dikk around with slow Autopark.

@BadL_ No, the unit price of a camera as installed in the Tesla is presumably around 2 dollars, the remaining eight dollars presumably account for the necessary cable laying and the punching of the opening. All in all, about ten dollars. Large customers pay a very low price for finished technology.
