I always really enjoyed watching your car reviews, but the EV crusade is something I simply can’t support. It’s an illogical solution to a nonexistent problem and that’s not even the worst of it. Anyway, hope you get back to doing more reviews on ICE vehicles and HEVs. There is so much out there you haven’t shown us in you own special way. We need some classic Fadra!

Please dont use a Level 1 charger for your main charging solution. It will pull roughly 80% of your breakers allowance and if you enable anything else on that circuit while charging you will pop the breaker. Level 1 should be a stop gap

I agree that Level 2 is best for your everyday charger but level 1 will certainly do in a pinch to keep you going.

Folks, do not plug a level 1 charger into an outlet extender as is shown in this video. This is a terrible idea as a level 1 charger will use all the power that is safe to use for an extended period of time. The power outlet used for the charger should only be used for charging your vehicle. I do see in this case that the first outlet (that had a ground fault) is a 20-amp outlet, but the outlet extender likely is not rated for that. It's always best to err on the side of caution.

Hey - I appreciate your word of caution here. As you saw, my intent was to plug it into a regular outlet. When we had an issue, I plugged it into the extender for demo purposes only. We did not leave it plugged in. I appreciate your input!

I think it’s a bit of a crock to push us towards EVs for “environmental reasons.” But driving EVs is fun. The torque is amazing.

@@Allthingsfadra The true reasons behind the EV crusade are what people should be very afraid of.
