The door gap is due to the Latch having moved (it’s a 10 minute fix), anyone with a wrench/screw driver could probably save a trip to the shop. The water protesters are sociopaths, apparently.

Hopefully, Tesla can continue to improve their production quality and find ways to minimize water usage in all their facilities.

Front door 'ajar' was a trivial issue, not a great look but any *man* could tighten the loose door open plunger.

Thanks for your comment! While a loose door plunger might be an easy fix, it's concerning that these issues are happening with brand new, expensive vehicles. A loose door could be a safety hazard or create wind noise, and it's frustrating for the customer to have to fix it themselves. Especially since Tesla seems to be aware of these quality control problems.

Haha, you're right, there's definitely a learning curve with anything new! Maybe us early adopters are like your family in those pod session days, figuring things out together.

The Austin factory is built on the industrial area of Austin. Specifically because it avoids the Edwards aquifer recharge zone.

I understand your point about teething issues. New car models often have some initial problems that get ironed out later. However, the concern here is the nature of these problems. Complete vehicle failures and significant quality control issues are a bit more serious than minor adjustments.
