Great video and thanks for the shout out for the thumb screw tip! :) We've used our tent a few times now and love it as well! On the updated aeroflap attachments, I created a service ticket requesting the updated pieces and my local service center was able to swap the parts out for me. It's much easier than even the thumb screws now. Also, if you plan to do much camping in warm or cold weather, you should take a look at what the team at Campstream is doing. I've been working with them on a product for the Cybertruck and just finished some late stage prototype testing last weekend. It made camping in 85 degree weather with 90% humidity much more comfortable. Looking forward to seeing your follow-up videos!

We have seen interesting climate control options from Anker and Ecoflow. Perhaps we will be able to find time for related productions this summer. Yes. We published this video with a link in the description to the Tesla tutorial which shows the upgraded spring clips. Our VIN is around 3600 and we had the tent installed only ten days ago. We aren't sure why we didn't get the aero revision. We contacted Tesla to get the spring clips installed. The appointment has been set and the cost to us will be $55.
Best vid I've seen on the tent so far - appreciate the inclusion of the original installation aspect. I just cancelled my order for the tent, only because I wasn't aware of the permanent nature of the installation. I might order later when I'm more ready for some camping. Anyhow - great vid with to-the-point info. Thanks!

It is incredible how much stuff we can pack in the Cybertruck! Before we had the tent installed, it was a huge benefit for us to have the triangle shape of the tonneau design because it provides significant height near the back glass for taller items. I didn't realize how much that extra space would be utilized but we have really taken advantage and it is one of my favorite things about the Cybertruck when it comes to usability. The rear seats fold upright as well, creating a high volume of in-cabin space for more sensitive items such as computers, camera gear, and lighting equipment.

Just in time for summer… I guess this base tent will suffice until you get your Lightship…? BTW, did you have the recall performed on your Cybertruck when you were at that service center? I've gotta say: my Lees-sure Lite camper didn't have any complications that you describe. Of course, it cost a couple thousand MORE!
@MissGoElectric
Ай бұрын
Exactly! I think we will still mix up our camping options though when we get our electric travel trailer. We have orders on the Pebble and the Lightship, but there is nothing like a solid backpacking trip in nature :) The Franklin Tesla Service location had our truck but there is no rivet in the pedal. We don't know if they needed to do anything to our VIN, but we understand the nature of the original pedal cover adhesion concern. Our guess is that the affected models were identified with greater isolation and our 3600(ish) VIN is not subject to the recall. We've received no notifications. We also know that any depression of the brake pedal results in the cutting of all power to motors. An update about complications, the later VIN Cybertrucks do not use bolts on the aero cover. There is a spring clip now. We've linked to a Tesla Tutorial video which visualizes the simplified solution. Where do you like to camp with your Lees-sure Lite camper? -Producer Tim

Tent mode negates terrain inclines and the platform is always smooth. The Cybertent is off the ground, making rain or water pooling inconsequential. This tent can be deployed and secured on rock surfaces, ice, and sand. Traditional tents secured with stakes do not hold well on those surfaces. Much of this tent is below the truck bed's ridgeline. We think that will result in consistent superior stability in very high wind scenarios. Those are among the reasons we might choose to sleep in this instead of our backpacking tents. -Producer Tim

Ok so based on that it sounds like the tent has advantages in an over landing scenario at a non-prepared camp site. It would be great if you could show the tent and truck in that context.
