Very Cool! I'd love to see more content like this. I did something similar recently with 433MHz temp sensors. Initially, like you do here, I used rtl_433 and piped it to a database to query on for graphing etc. However, I soon realized that the data coming from rtl_433 was much more useful if I piped it into an MQTT broker. This creates a hub of sorts for all of the 433 devices/events. You can connect all the other services you may want to the MQTT broker to use that real time data in whatever way you want. For instance, Telegraf watching MQTT and populating InfluxDB that you can then use with Grafana, or stand up NodeRed and have it watch MQTT to trigger other events or interact with HomeAssistant, or just connect to MQTT like an API with whatever custom scripts/apps you want to write, etc etc. Anyway, just my unsolicited 2¢. Great stuff, keep up the good work!

Correction on the Jamming, DSC and Honeywell use a report back and check in function. The base-station forces a check back on a timed loop, if the wireless sensor does not report back with in X time frame or after x time of an event it will set a fault light. IF the system is armed it will call the central station and set a no report fault, which should be handle with a "are you home call" or "do we need to send a officer to check it out". I'm a medically retired security specialist, and I always recommend hard wiring everything you can and then backing it up with wireless. Also the "second" wireless system you talked about at the opening of the video it called a GSM system. These are Cell tower basic radios for connecting with the central station and also work with the report back system, so if the system is armed and someone is jamming the GSM it will also show a non report back fault at the central station and cause them to call you. You can also get GSM's that use a prepayed SIM card that will let your system text or email events in your system to you. We used them to setup HAI (HAI is being shut down) and ELK smart homes for people looking to handle their own "central station" duty's (basically self monitor) .

Well he did it for people getting into Software Defined Radio & its pretty awesome . All you do is type a portion of the FCC id and you'll get your datasheet and references parsed from the actual FCC site, fcc.io runs on 'github pages'.

Well , less than 3:30 into this video and I knew I had found my new favorite channel. In all honesty I am surprised almost everyday by the level of intelligence. enlightenment and general understanding that people demonstrate with seemingly little effort. This is especially true for subject matter related to tech and more true still for anything involving rights and freedoms. However, it is rare that something like this comes along and is PLEASANTLY surprising which gives me a slight boost to my faith in humanity and the road to hell the world is intent on traveling. In fact it seems to have upgraded to mag-lev rail system in recent years which makes it even more important to have a security system like this with no subscription "service" monitoring every detail of your home which they totally, never, ever store on a servers in Utah and China because like you said, we have rights and a Constitution that prevents things like that from happening. So, I subscribed and set alerts but wish I had found this channel sooner. Oh well, guess I get to binge the past videos all weekend so it does have a silver lining.

If you base your security on LPL's videos, you're never going to use ANY kind of security device - still waiting for something that he isn't capable of working around with a little studying Security isn't meant to be impossible to defeat - because that's impossible - it's meant to be a DETERRENT, to tell a criminal to move on to another EASIER target. That's the entire point of putting the "protected by" sign in your yard, not to tell them whose hardware they should Google how to bypass, but to say "you're going to spend more time trying to bypass my security system than it will take you to break into my neighbor's unprotected house". Furthermore, the criminal doesn't know the extent of your security system. That's great that the window sensor can be bypassed - but not knowing about my motion activated camera inside the room you're crawling into is going to get you your ass handed to you. All of this is why you hear LPL reference how long it takes him to, say, pick a lock - because NO lock is impossible to defeat, but if it takes a criminal so long to defeat that they can't possibly bypass it quick enough to avoid being caught, then it doesn't matter that it isn't impossible to defeat. Besides, even shitty security is more effective than ZERO security
