True story; I became a mom at 18, I'm 25 now and my son is 7. My son's father and I have been together this whole time and we decided he would work and I would be a stay at home mom. Until my son started school, the only people that were allowed to baby sit for us were our parents. To this day if my son wants to hang out with friends I usually make them come over or it has to be someone I know, and know well. I know it seems a little over bearing, but I was sexually assaulted when I was four by a family friend, which I remember vividly. I made a promise that I'd never let something like that happen to any child in my care, especially my own.It's always better to be safe rather than sorry.
