This is insane to me, to be seeing this war at all. I never thought I'd see anything like this. I thought the only time I'd see tanks would be in video games or museums. That one shot where you could see a guy in the trench looking at the tank, then after the smoke clears he's gone.

It doesn't supply Ukrainians with top-weaponry and gives it minimum so it can withstand the attacks making it attrition war. @@markbenn1907 I believe I read something once in which it read something along the lines of there being four stages of repetition throughout history. We have gone through the points of reconciliation after the events happening during the first and second world wars, learned from them, began to think that they would not happen again and then completely omitting them from training and ceasing to learn from them. So now we are right back to square one in the cycle and it will likely follow a similar course from the one started over 100 years ago. The old phrase of those who forget history are bound to repeat it, has come true.

One of the best pieces of War Footage ever captured. Absolutely amazing. Shows the brutality of War. Imagine being in those trenches with nowhere to run to. No cover, no houses, buildings or anything. Just wide open land with 3 pieces of heavy armor rolling in. The fear and hopelessness those under armed Russian soldiers must have felt knowing they are going to die in a cold trench on someone else's soil.

Oh this video doesn't show the most brutal part that is in Part 2: after tank blasted these guys at the end, tank started rolling overt the trench leveling it almost completely. Then infantry moved in to check for survivors. They actually did found one who somehow managed to hide in the bushes and he was captured.

@@simonverginius those in the trenches were most likely mobilized Russians. So they are not the ones guilty of Bucha massacre (most of those are already dead). But they are guilty of killing Ukrainians that were in this trench previously and they are guilty of taking part in this criminal war in the first place, so they are not innocent victims.

Those trenches seemed to protect the enemy troops well until the tank got so close it was point-blank shooting. I can see why troops on both sides have gone back to trench warfare despite what military experts were saying prior to the Ukraine/Russia war how trenches will never be used again.

WW1 stopped with the invasions, so they used trenches, while WW2 was so quick gains from Germans at start that they didnt need any trenches, but in Normandy they still used trenches and maybe in Stalingrad also. This Ukraine-Russia war is so prolonged, that their also using trenches, when its the only form of protection you get in open flat field ground.

the tank still didn't do anything. If you search for the full story, the tnak ran out of ammo, and the only reason it destroyed the trench was because after running out of ammo, it collapsed the trench and buried all the russian troops by repeatedly driving back and forth over the trench. One russian soldier survived and was taken prisoner after they found his body 22 hours later.

Times have changed. Today you are under permanent surveillance of the enemy via satellites, drones, thermal sight, radar, sonar etc. If you have no countermeasures to hide you want some decent armor against enemies you can't even fight.

Ukraine's r very smart on tech

What I've been told by a veteran... part of it is the adrenaline rush, they got shot at. Fear & anger take over & you cant stop firing until the threat is eliminated. And often that means killing everyone they see as enemy. Once it's over, you get hit by the jitters, it's like a sort of panic attack. The shakes can become so bad that if you are engaged by another enemy unit, You just can't aim straight, letting one round after another & missing your target. The only way you will survive is the other guy shooting you have the same jitters, & you get him before he gets you. War is horrible.

My dad told me a story about training for WW2 at Ft. Benning, GA. They gave the recruits a set amount of time to dig a foxhole that would be safe against tanks, and then they would roll the tanks right over the foxholes, to get the men used to the experience. They gave them plenty of time to dig the holes, as the point was to experience the tanks, not to dig a hole. Apparently one guy was so scared of the tanks, he dug a hole so deep, he couldn't get out of it after the exercise!!

Do you know how many guys have died in trenches in the last 100 years? It’s not just the armor to worry about. Trenches are filthy, probably filled with urine and feces. Disease can run rampant in a trench.

@@Piece_Of_Tech_Channel yes but it was more so guerilla warfare which combined trenches, foxholes, traps, ambushes in extremely challenging environments such as jungles, tall grassy fields, swamps and bogs. Trying to fight a ruthless army of combatants like that in their own home was how the musicians got screwed. They sent their boys to die just so defence contractors and their shareholders could rake in a couple billion dollars.

at 4:06 you see the ATGM go over the top of the tank and explode harmlessly behind - bet Ivan's trench mates hate him for missing. In the full version a second missile misses although not sure if it is a ATGM as it looks too thin but could just be stretched by camera resolution/speed. Finally when tank is 3 metres from the trench Pavlov in his last act throws a grenade but misses by a mile.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but after the fourth or fifth close range shot the Russian soldiers are waving a white flag from behind the three which then gets obliterated not long after. This tank crew must have had some atrocious act committed against their families to carry on firing when the white flag is waved. The Russians are definitely reaping what they sewed

I like living on this planet, in this universe as a human being. But day by day I feel more and more like we humans don't deserve to exist.

The gunner did an amazing job by firing at the ground in front of him to put off the AGTM gunners aim. Slava Ukraine. Brave man indeed....

The tank was also doing lotsa acting like "hmmm.. I wonder where they all are" panning the turret left and right and KABOOM!! .. the entire process was repeated until part 2 of the above video ends with the burial and levelling off the trenches with all of them nicely packed underneath.

@@thiagocardoso625 That's not the end of it, either. The Ukrainians actually went into that exact trench afterward for the manual trench clearing and dug out two surviving Russians. I saw the interview with the two of them, and they said when they were buried their Russian buddies ran off and left them there. They were very thankful to the Ukrainians for digging them out and treating them right. I also just saw a video, I think it was from the Russian that waved off the drone and told them he wanted to surrender, and actually managed to get to the Ukrainians to do so while his compatriots were shooting at him. It was that interview or another (don't remember, they run together a bit) where a Russian regular was told to go in with the Wagners and do what they said, and the Wagners told them that any of them that were wounded would just be shot, as they didn't want to evacuate them. Russians are beyond brutal.

It's unbelievable how the soldiers in the trench had their backs turned to an incoming tank that was firing directly at them instead of running from that position. My only thought is that they must have been terribly shocked and disoriented from the initial incoming rounds.

Since Russia has very few T-80s and T-90s left to use in Ukraine, they are going to have a HELL of a time blasting them “into pieces.” Not just the Leopards, the Challengers and the Abrams. All 3 have amazing armor protection compared to their Russian counterparts. It’s very likely that these western tanks won’t cross paths with Russia’s modern tanks since they have so few (both Ukraine & Russia). Which is unfortunate because Russia doesn’t have another tank that can knock them out. Not head on at least, they would have to maneuver around them and then hit them the back or from the side. Obviously, they also have Artillery, AGTMs, and air assets (aircraft, helicopters & missiles) as well that can destroy them, but none of their armored units can stop them. The western tanks are going to have a FKin field day against the old ass Russian armor they are using. Lol. It’s going to be brutal. Prepare to be shocked when the Ukrainians move forward with their Spring offensive and bust through the Russian lines with their new Western equipment and then utterly embarrassed as well since they will have failed to achieve ANY of their objectives in their so called “Special Military Operation”. Lolol get a grip troll. Be gone.

Nobody asked those men to go in our country. Nobody asked them to throw the rocket on the playground in the very centre of Kyiv where my son loved to play. Another in 100m from that place rocket killed the woman that went with she's 5.y.o. son to the kindergarten. Their phather was killed a year ago. Woman died, the kid survived. So yes, this is not video game. To avoid the mobilization Russians can spend 2..5 years in the prison. I don't think that living in such trenche one hour is better. But they had a choice. We here - haven't.

Ukraine has taught me, as a service member, the importance of Anti-Drone warfare. How denying just the ability to see everything in a fight makes a huge difference. I thought the US Government was crazy for dumping billions into anti-drone systems, but now I can see why it's important. I am glad I got qualified in the Anti-Drone stuff, because it truly is the way of future warfare.

Drone bombardment will be the future of war between worthy nation states. I predict migratory birds of a certain mass will become extinct. Drone shields will have to be installed near borders every 2-5 miles. Right now it's like 1880s and the Europeans think machine guns are great, well not against Germany in ww1. We will feel the same when we have our inevitable war with china.

And even if the tanker saw the white flag, I would not stop shooting while his buddies are still shooting at me. Perhaps if I saw a wave of white flags, and people coming out of the trenches with all their hands up - maybe I would stop shooting. Those Russians should be there anyway.

Im amazed by 2 things, The angle of attack of a modern cannon that it could aim so low so close. and by how much a trench can protect someone from an explosive blast! it looked like 3-4 of those hits were direct hits on top of them. Yet they are still moving after them! Even if they didnt get hit by shrapnel how the hell are they surviving the concussive blast?!? A trench provides some serious protection from the blast.

most explosion like grenades or tank fire, explode in a V shape. thats why when we see a grenade we have to lay on ground, so if we are in a trench under the blast it will be almsot safe unless its too close

It is importan to have in mind that those tank bullets are not explosive ammo.

@@Daniel-rd1sy Not sure about that. Looked like the tank was using HE rounds based off those blasts and craters made. Can't see why a tank would be firing AP rounds at infantry anyway, even if footage wasn't there to show HE.

Wow! I can't believe they survived that long after that tank bombarded their trench. Wow. War is hell
