I have one of these and have about 300 miles on it. I am thoroughly impressed by the ride and comfort. However, I have a concern about the right SLX trigger shifter operating the front deraillieur. To move the derailleur onto the large chainring, a particularly long throw of the thumbshifter is required. Coming from roadbikes, I never encountered difficulty with Shimano indexed shifters or bar-end thumb shifters. On my trike, however, I was unable to complete the shift. I heard the click in the shifter. The derailleur would respond but fall back to the small chainring. After some detective work (and demonstrating my shifting technique to the mechanic at the bikeshop where my purchase was made) I learned that I would have to push the trigger through a second click to nudge the derailleur and chain onto the large chainring-also requiring more hand strength on my part. More riding is loosening the trigger up, but certainly a problem that I am not used to experiencing with Shimano components on most of the bicycles I've owned since 1982. The rear derailleur works flawlessly. A second issue for me was attaching a rear rack. I was looking for a typical rear rack, but the wishbone seat stays do not allow attachment, so I attached a TT low-rider rack, plenty of bosses on the frame to allow placement without a lot of extra hardware. I am not sure how much I will use it right now but time will tell!

The GTS is a good start to a great Trike, to make it a great trike it needs a CVT rear hub, the stationary power idler is mounted too far back and will cause issues. Out of the box the chain line needs refinement. The new seat is great until you put some miles on it, then it will start creaking from the fabric grinding into the soft paint. This is easily fixed by wrapping the entire seat frame where the fabric touches the frame with Automotive fabric tape normally used on wiring harnesses. If you buy a GTS you will not regret it, provided the dealer assembles it correctly and adjust it to you while you are in the seat. Once adjusted go for a ride and have them fine tune it if needed. Most important thing is to make sure the chain tube is mounted correctly and tight without crushing the tube, if the tube slips forward the chain will eat the lower seat frame.

Why is the seat so far away from the back wheel??? Can't you shift the seat back more??? And i would rather have a 12 speed mtb cassette or the new e pinion gearbox!!!
