This was a real nice test ride! Great look at this trike!

I've got a little over 500 miles on mine now, and I really enjoy riding it. TT did a nice job with this upgrade from the TOUR II which I rode for about 10 years. I'm retired and getting back into touring shape with longer and hillier rides. I find my GTS up to the task and just plain fun. I've named her "Sparky" for the beautiful Molten Orange color and lively ride.

Update! I just completed a 3 day tour in the northern area of Michigan's lower peninsula. The route featured lakeshore and steep rolling hills over glacial terrain. I absolutely loved how my GTS performed over those hills! I was able to maintain momentum with the gearing pedaling until my speed was faster than I could keep up with downhill then downshifting as the climb got longer, and upshifting at the crest to again build speed downhill! Max speed was 42 mph! The GTS was steady and reliable at speed. Climbing speeds were slower near the crests of the rollers, less than with my DF, but I'm on a trike and moving! No e-assist here, available gearing was used to maintain a sustainable cadence. I averaged 70 rpm for the trip. Average speed for the trip was 11-12 mph, although certainly higher or lower at certain times during the trip. I used stock tires. I like the 24" rear for riding rougher roads. Both front and rear derailleurs performed smoothly with each shift-there were many shifts on those hills! The frame and seat seemed to absorb road vibration and bumps well. I am so happy with the performance of my TT GTS! I am looking forward to many more happy rides!

If it doesn’t fold I can’t get it in and out of the elevator in my building in Manhattan NYC lol. Looks like a beauty that I wish you mentioned the weight early

Hello there Micky, love your Reviews. Can u please tell me which trike do u think is a better trike. The new catrike 559. Or this teratrike gts. I'm new to trikes and 61 years old with little bit of back problem sometimes and a plate and screws in my wrist. Going from a Beautiful trek checkpoint. I'm looking for a trike for comfort for more miles, but speed and great components. What would you judgest. I m looking at a new lime green 559 so far. Thanks Micky 🙂

Hi Steve, have you thought about the Catrike Dumont with suspension? Its bee great on my back issues. Suspension adds a softer ride.

What's the total price going to be with the Bosch active line Plus pedal-assist ??

With the Bosch electric assist motor, it would be about $5500.

I want this Trike in Fog and can't find it anywhere. It just stays out of Stock!

Why do you hide the weight?

The weight of the Terratrike GTS is 35.5 lb compared to the Cattrike 559 which is 39.5 lb.

@@LaidBackCycles that’s a good wait we all waited to find out what it is because you said it was so light lol. That’s a beautiful bike I have yet to find a better all-around deal than the cat trike trail. Although you do have to put a seat cushion under your butt with the earlier models otherwise the fillings in your teeth will come loose
