Ion know if anyone's said it yet but when you kill the wall of flesh, you go into hard mode and a bunch of new content is added, including one NPC (Can't remember which one) that'll sell you gun that can purify or currupt your world, so that'll help you with the AIDs problem

Its the steampunker that sells the clemantator, what it dose is spread corruption, crimson, purity, hallow, and maybe a few more? What it spreads is dependent on what soloution type you buy.

Havoc is right, however there are alternatives like the dryad, who sells purification powder which will revert corruption into purity. You get the dryad from killing one boss and then making a house for her

@@negativezer0741 that's technically not correct, its just that purity has no resistance to being taken over by corruption; if I use one purification powder to get rid of ~10 or so blocks that are corrupted and there are no other corrupted blocks around, then the corruption is gone Edit: but for most situations, yeah it would be basically temporary

@@Lucas-Nunes Mud can steadily get converted to dirt. I don't know if this applies to mud covered in mushroom grass, though. Wood blocks and brick blocks are good to use, but you might have a tough time sourcing enough to coat the walls of a series of hellevators.

I love how they memorise NPC not by their use, but by names. That is so cursed for me

@@yourveryownlocalmoron6874 It does spread in pre-hardmode, slowly, but it does. Start up a master mode world, use something to mark exactly where it starts next to purity once you find it, and come back a few hours of playing later. I say master mode because it's fastest then.

dude you had the Corruption in your world (the purple aids biome) the Crimson (the other aids biome that can spawn instead of this one) is litteraly made of flesh and blood...an the boss is a huge brain with a heart in the middle which has an eye

And he doesn’t even mention the moonlord!

That is exactly how I discovered Terraria too, completed minecraft and Terraria was recommended by the splash text, so decided to give it a try. Best decision I ever made

I love this game dude. my most played game on steam, and one of my greatest fears is that there are so many other people in the world who are just like you were, and thought it was just 2d minecraft. It is now the highest rated game on steam, and that makes me so happy. the fact you didn't even make it to hardmode is just the icing on top of this video.

yeah this was my experience with terraria. i thought it was 2d minecraft with some more bosses until i played it. lets just go over the bosses spoiler i guess *PRE-HARDMODE* king slime: massive slime with a ninja stuck inside and a crown on its head. it also summons smaller slimes while alive and upon death eye of cthulhu: large bloodshot eye that shoots small eyes out of its pupils, when it takes enough damage the front of the eye falls away to reveal teeth. it charges the player in this state. eater of worlds: worm made of rotten, decaying flesh. unique to the corruption brain of cthulhu: a brain that is protected by small eyes called "creepers" (no affiliation to my uncle or to the explodey ones.) when those are killed, the front of the brain drops to reveal a heart with eyes on it. unique to the crimson queen bee: a massive bee that shoots out smaller bees and stingers, she will also charge you. skeletron: a huge skull with 2 floating hands that tries to kill the player the wall of flesh: need I say more? yes. it has huge tentacles called the hungry and shoots you with laser eyes. also it is summoned by sacrificing the guide with a voodoo doll, who is also the wall of flesh. *HARDMODE* the destroyer: a mechanical version of the eater of worlds that summons laser shooting probes upon taking damage the twins: 2 mechanical eyes of cthulhu connected by a single fleshy tendril. Retinazer shoots you with lasers, upon taking enough damage the front of the eye falls and reveals a laser gun which fires faster and does more damage. Spazmatism fires green cursed flames, upon taking enough damage it reveals teeth and starts being more aggressive with its flames and charging. skeletron prime: a mechanical skeletron but it has 4 arms, one saw, one laser, and one vice. plantera: a flower bulb with large hooks that shoots poisonous seeds and thorns. its second phase shows its floral exterior to show (you guessed it) teeth, sprouting eight additional tentacles. also it releases damaging spores. golem: a golem constructed by the lihzahrds. it jumps around the arena and shoots its chain-bound fists at you. The second stage sees the head detaching and flying around, shooting lasers. the body continues to jump and punch at you. still like the easiest boss in the game though. the lunatic cultist: a powerful mage from the moon lord's cult. he can summon various magical attacks like ice, fire, lightning, and ancient light balls. it then creates clones, if the player attacks one of the clones it summons a powerful phantasm dragon to distract from the cultist. killing him summons the lunar pillars. lunar pillars: 4 pillars representing the 4 classes(sorry throwing) nebula for mage, solar for melee, vortex for ranged, and stardust for summoning. these pillars are shielded, and you have to kill the powerful mobs that spawn to protect them to drop it. after the shield drops, attack and kill the pillar. After all the pillars are defeated, you have one minute to prepare to fight the moon lord. the moon lord: an eldritch monster with 2 eyes on its hands and 1 eye on its forehead, as well as 4 eyes on its face with no pupils. the eyes on his hands and head will shoot at you, and his tongue will grab you and keep you from running. upon killing the eyes, they come out and attack you with rays of energy. when they come out, they reveal a cavity full of (yep) teeth. the top eye on the head also shoots a phantasmal death ray that can go through blocks. once all 3 eyes are defeated, the core opens. destroying the core kills the moon lord. *OPTIONAL* (optional) (hardmode) the empress of light: a woman resembling an angel flies around and shoots devastating attacks at you. this boss is a total bullet hell. if fought in the daytime, it will instantly kill you. but it will drop the best summoning weapon in the game, the terraprisma. (optional) (hardmode) duke fishron: a sea monster that can fly, summon sharknados, summon 10-20 exploding bubbles, and charge you at incredible speed. it only does more damage and is faster (with a nerf to defense) when you get it below half. if you're playing on expert or master, it even has an even more terrifying third phase. this third phase gives him the ability to teleport, but dropping his defense to a big fat 0.

I love your channel dude, you are insanely underrated. you might be my new favorite creator.... with that said, I do not like your stance on Pizza. Not sure where we go with this relationship now.

Normally what I do is focus on isolating the corruption then curing the outsides after hard mode starts. Then you can use it as a farming area if you do that kind of stuff

I tried to play Terraria once, my friends pressured me into it. Bought it for me and everything. I was like "it's just 2d minecraft with gimmicks." Long story short I started a minecraft server like 3 days later and we're still playing it today.

I'm not sure if you continued playing terraria but I really want to see more, especially with expert mode and hardmode. There's some crazy stuff there, pirate and space invasions, wings and lazers, and summoning a world eating goliath by killing cultists and breaking the pillars used to keep him at bay only to poke his eyes and heart out.

Hearing some of these things about the game that I’ve just accepted from an outsider is really cool. I never gave much thought to the fighting of literal demons, the cleansing of the world of the corruption, or the goldfish drug deals, so this kinda blew my mind. Thank you for playing Terraria

A little tidbit of lore, the "Corruption" is the physical embodiment of the sins from the living creature's on whatever world it inhabits, and Crimson is an eldritch god
