Terrance Roberson Was Supposed To Be a Star and Made Millions! Stunted Growth
Спорт
What you don’t understand as a kid or young adult, is it could be one time, it could be just for an instance you lose focus, or a few years that fly by and your mindset is oh well I’m still young, I have time, I’ll be better, but those old habits are too much fun, those distractions provide satisfaction too great to be your own voice of reason. When that’s the case you can lose out on a life worth of achievements that greatly trump the ones you think at the time are so great. Most if not all the friends you enjoyed them with back then you’re no longer acquainted with today, and all you’re left with is a wish that you can go back and correct those steps in life, but by then it’s far too late. Terrance Roberson was one of the best high school players, literally since he stepped foot on the varsity floor at just 14 years old. By then he was already grown into the 6’7 frame he was the rest of his career, making him unstoppable and his future prospects of having a great high school and college career, leading to a star NBA career almost guaranteed. The only thing that could stop him was himself. Local news reporters couldn’t believe they were actually seeing a 14 year old that was already the best player on the floor and possibly in the state his freshman year of high school. He was a parade all American after his sophomore season, an award he’d win 3 times over his high school career, one of only 4 players in history to do so, joining Kenny Anderson, Alonzo Mourning, Patrick Ewing and Terrance Roberson. He was no question on his way to stardom on the college and NBA level, but that never happened. Here’s what stunted the growth of one of the most promising high school players in history. Terrance Roberson Was Supposed To Be a Star and Made Millions! Stunted Growth

Had as good a start as possible his first 3 years of high school, then showed how easy it could be to lose focus and a hold on your future. he still made the NBA and had the opportunity to achieve his dream.

My pops played for Buena Vista and went to the league for a short time, played for nuggets and pistons. A lot of great hoopers come out of Saginaw
This is why I respect Lebron so much more. Dude had all that weight on him as a 15 year old and came thru it all to become an icon.
Losing his mom had a major impact in his choices moving forward too. He seems to have come full circle and is giving back. Respect
Can you do a stunded growth on Scotty Thurman? I think he deserved at least a chance in the NBA but never got it. His game was silky smooth.
He had it rough but he had so much potential
Shout out to You STUNTED GROWTH. DID NOT KNOW U WOULD GO DEEP IN THE BAG. A SAGINAW LEGEND INDEED..... SHOULD'VE BEEN THE MR BASKETBALL IN 95 OVER TRACTOR TRAYLOR. U DA MAN FOR THIS ONE

The shock when I seen this being a Saginaw native myself my cuzzo in the newspaper clipping for #14 Saginaw High Brian Vaughn this shit bringing back memories.
Saginaw Stand Up! 1991 BV knights were like Rock Stars To Us! Terrance was like Lebron around Saginaw Damn I miss those days. My cousin Brian Vaughn #14 for Saginaw High in the newspaper clipping.
Do one on Chris Porter (Auburn)
Flint showing love to Saginaw he was the most talented player I seen from Sag-nasty including players during that time Jason Richardson, DeAndre Hulett and others Saginaw always have had great players

I remember Freddie Jackson used to run that team well. He knew how to hit everyone in their spots. When he wasn't on the court the team didn't play the same. Very underrated pg.

@@youletterrybone80 I played against Anthony and got to see Terrence play. Anthony's sophomore year when he grew is when things really got crazy for Peeper. I think he really worked hard. Had a good career in college. He made the league too, but it was a whole different beast back when Terrence played, at least in terms of hype.
I appreciate you doing stories like this because there are so many, even if the player did not have extreme notoriety. Why do the streets have such a pull with some these dudes??? Ugh. From the clips he seemed highly talented without the work ethic. Raw talent. I guess with some people when a parent dies part of them dies too and doesn't fully give a damn about the important realities/responsibilities of life. Nice to see he reflected and matured👏👏👏👏
Those Fresno State teams he was on were so dynamic but they couldn't stay out of trouble. Every player on those teams could be on Stunted Growth. Skip to my Lou had a good career though.
You should do one on scottie Thurman or Corliss Williamson ...they were so hyped up as Razorbacks b4 the UCLA national championship game...
I'm from Detroit and I remember reading & hearing about him when I was in Jr high. Enjoyed this vid on him, unfortunately things didn't turn out like excepted for him.
A poor man’s Paul Pierce.
It is the work that players do behind the scene(Personal training, skill development, etc.....)
Great my bro ! Keep making these !
The realest intro I’ve heard 💯
Yooo! This was my teammate and roommate out in Romania.

I think you mean Stanley Roberts. Don't forget Rolando Howell and Joe Rhett also.
@stunted growth in this video you mentioned more than once you could relate to similar issues as Terrance Roberson. I thought I detected something different in your voice at the end. You’re doing awesome with this channel. Keep up the great work. ❤❤

Oh this is a good one. I remember this guy from my home state.
Dayum...this been my homie since tee ball... much love Rob..
Saginaw kid! T Rob was like a celebrity back home when I was growing up. I think in high school he was far more talented than Jason Richardson or Draymond Green was but somehow he never fully lived up to his potential
Do Jerome Harper from Keenan hs in Columbia SC. 6'5 shooting guard with crazy handle. McDonald's All American in 2000, arrested for mrder, etc etc etc.
Aye bro big fan of your channel. You should do C.J. Miles. He came right out of HS
Can you do one on Paul Mcphearson? Or Jerome Randle?
Love your videos. You should look into Reggie Harding. Tragic story where he is linked to the Supremes...the movie white men can't jump and more!
he bears some resemblance to Nick Cannon
His cousin Anthony Roberson game was nice too.

Do one on Mugsy Bogues, peace!
Do one on Winfred Walton out of Detroit, Pershing High School class 96. Was Mr. Basketball state of Michigan, McDonald's All-American with Kobe and was in the Magic Johnson roundball classic with Kobe. I believe he attended Fresno State same time Roberson did. Do ya research on him, great talent that never made it. Btw he was a foward some was comparing to Derrick Coleman.
