Terrain Tutorial: Realistic Industrial Mega Structure for Warhammer, Kill Team, Necromunda Pt. 1
Фильм және анимация
In this video I'm building some more dystopian industrial terrain, this time bigger and badder than ever! This build would be great for Necromunda, Warhammer 40k, Horus Heresy 30k, Kill Team, and any other sci fi or industrial setting game. I always find myself in awe of the creative uses you find for literally anything. Amazing work as always.
As somebody with a degree in Model Making and SFX for Film & TV I like what I see here. Good job Eric. I see a few things where you could make life easier for yourself but there are 2 things everyone watching this should take away with them. (1) sanding areas before gluing. If you have 2 smooth shiney plastic surfaces it really helps to add some "grip" by roughing up the surface. (2) the way you add rivets and fine details by placing a little glue to a scrap piece to the side and then dip your small bits into that before positioning is another great hack. This prevents lots of mess around your fine details. Obviously there is a lot more to what you do than that, but for beginners these 2 techniques are great to use. The way you see everyday items and their potential for terrain pieces and how to put them together is something that comes with time and experience. From there practice makes perfect.
I love how the Lightsaber hilt originally was made as a kitbash and is now part of a bigger kit bash! Heha Great stuff.

That looks incredible Eric! When you mentioned that you started the build with the intention of making it a shantytown, it made me think just how amazing those gang boxes are. I remember using those with no extra bits on them as bunkers back in Rogue Trader/2nd ed. era 40k. It's almost like they are some basic STC pattern building that everything gets built up around. Actually not a bad idea to use them for residential buildings too. Would tie the scenery together with a similar looking architectural style across your game board. Looking forward to part 2! Cheers!

Agreed! The patterns for gang boxes are definitely known to and archived by the Adeptus Mechanicus at this point. I also saw them as standardized storage containers that have been modified various purposes. I still plan to do a shanty town at some point so may use a few in that build!
