@@MiXVoy that has literally nothing to do with the actual movie tho. It was embarrassing for everyone involved and apparently bale was right, but he was blaming the wrong guy and he apologized and everything on set after. Now Bale won't touch terminator ever again. Thanks a lot. Its just weird that at prescreenings, early reviewers said it was fantastic. Then after release all you heard was mixed or bad things. I loved watching it and not knowing what exactly would happen which is odd for a prequel.

Terminator started with the cyborg being sent to the past... But it was ALWAYS about humanity's war against the machines. The narrow minded view you have is the same view those that took over the franchise have, and look at the films now. Salvation could've been the beginning of exactly that- the series salvation. Instead, the clowns in charge took your view and ran it into the ground. Bravo.

Bale still has that Batman voice when speaking as John Connor.

Good catch, I personally appreciate it. High profile individuals purposefully augment their vocal tone to achieve an outward perception. Bale's Batman and John Connor are perfect examples of a real world interpretation of that idea from a method actor. Why people have an issue with it or criticize Bale will never cease to baffle me.

Just this once, it wasn't said by Arnold and it sounded good.

This speech shows how John rallied the Resistance to victory. He gave the soldiers fighting not just the strategy and tactics to win, but the cause of their fellow man and the hope of something more than survival. We see hints that parts of humanity remained selfish and only cared about making it past the next ten minutes. Not just by stealing from each other, but apathy towards people without an immediate value. Command believed treating the war like an equation, where people were just things to be counted and used the same as bullets, guns, and vehicles would help them make the necessary sacrifices to win against and unprecedented enemy. But John recognized that sacrifice is only really worth it when you recognize the value of what you're giving up. People are willing to fight past their limits when they have something greater than themselves to fight for. Even if it's just the person next to them. Treating each soldier and civilian as invaluable made people willing to die for John, because they knew he would do the same for them in a heartbeat.

This scene is so powerful. The world follows him because they believe in him, justifying everything Sarah did to prepare him. And he uses her memory to rally them.

If this movie had more war scenes similar to what we've seen in the previous movies, fans would have enjoyed it more. There were almost no scenes were we see the machines attacking humans, except the harvester and moto-terminators. I don't know if the HK-Tank were in production in 2018, but the T-1 could have been the ''HK-Tank'' during that time periode, along with the T-600 terminators finding humans and exterminating them. HK-Aerials and Aerostats should have been everywhere. Instead, we got to see humans have the upper hand, like this scene here. MGM had some great ideas for the movie, but executed them poorly.

You have to think about it. The game has changed, the time has changed the future is not the same as the original. And yes it shouldve had some original ideas. But the past has been mangled with so the future has to be different

Yeah well ONE, all the future scenes from previous movies were during a climactic battle and this doesn't take place during one. John infiltrates the base before the calvary gets there and blows it up. It's pretty realistic. TWO it's pretty dumb marching machines out there with no cover like it's the Revolutionary War. THREE it's earlier in the war so the machines probably haven't manufactured armies yet

Joe Whitehead well his opinion isn't too meaningful to Me. Genesis maybe a good film but it kind of fucks up the story and throws a wrench in it. It was unnecessary. A film in the post apocalypse was a terminator film most is us were waiting for and I don't think this did a bad job. Genesis was so forced and rushed and turned out corny asf. Like the whole thing seemed like it was made just because people wanted to more robot Arnold.
