I love all of Teri Garr's scenes in this. Not only was she beautiful but hilarious. Every scene cracked me up. Even the simple little utterance she made while she was watching Dorothy's speech during the beginning of the reveal scene.

A long-forgotten actress. Young Frankenstein, Close Encounters, The Black Stallion, this movie, The Sting 2, Mr. Mom, Firstborn, After Hours. Since the mid-1980’s, she appeared here and there and had MS. And her birthdate remains a mystery. As early as 1946 and late as 1952.

The birthdate thing is a mystery to me as well. I see some sites say 1947 and even 1944 according to Wikipedia. I guess we won't know the real birthdate until she dies or see her birth certificate?🤷

Teri Garr is FANTASTIC in this scene. She's great throughout the movie. Tootsie is one those movies where casting came near to perfection. It may been remembered as Dustin Hoffman's tour de force performance. And the chemistry between him and Jessica Lange is just something you do not see anymore in movies. BUT! You also get likes of Bill Murray, Dabney Coleman, George Gaynes, Charles Durning and Sydney Pollack, all of them giving a KILLER performances. If Teri had gotten the Oscar, I wouldn't have disagreed. But Jessica got it. Her performance there can make a grown man cry. Just watch the ending scene.
