I've heard several times that brook was good in this fight. he was not. he hasn't been the same fighter since GGG, understandably. the best I saw of him was in the spence fight where he was outclassed, despite definitely having his moments in flurries. I love brook, no disrespect. I think he's one of the best to come out of England in the last decade. I rewatched this fight as part of the spence v Crawford build up. I can't call who will win. spence is the better technician and pressurises constantly, but bud can do more unexpected things.

Facts

Brook never would have beat Crawford, but he did the weight badly for this fight and was without his trainer that had trained him since he was a kid for this fight. Not to mention coming off the back off that Golovkin fight he should have never took. I always said a prime Kell would have beaten Spence and he was at least level on the cards until the injury. And a prime Kell would have probably gone the distance and lost on points to Crawford. Or mnaybe got stopepd very late on. He was one hell of a fighter! Crawford, is just the best of a generation though. That man is sublime!

It was a chess match. Neither man landed "alot". Brook wasn't even throwing combinations. Brook trained hard and did well but it wasn't till he was seeing stars he realized while he was winning at Checkers, Bud was playing chess.

Spence fought a way fresher brook than this was. Terrence fought everyone late, no fault of his own but all the welterweights were at PBC, the brook and khan fights for Crawford were a joke by the time they happened. They were names that were clinging onto the little prestige they had left when the WW division had long moved on.

Brook was not shot at that time, he could still make the weight and had only lost the one fight against Triple G. He wasn’t 34 years old no had he taken many big shots like by the time Crawford was fed him. Bud didn’t even want these dead ass fights, it was all top rank had for him as there WW roster was weak and they’re a promoter that lets their fights rot on ESPN and are incapable of doing business on other platforms with other promoters. Errol fought a fresher brook, a fresher porter, Danny Garcia, Ugas. That’s 4 champions at WW who are decent. All due respect I do like Bud but, his WW resume weak as hell compared to that so let’s not even go there.
