Crawford became a three-weight world champion in front of 8,112 fans in attendance after he eventually stopped Horn via TKO in round nine. At the time of the stoppage, all three judges had Crawford winning all the previous rounds. Horn lacked defense but kept coming forward, trying to look for an opening. Horn made the opening two rounds the most competitive with his aggressive style but Crawford adapted and remained the busier fighter throughout, landing the most telling shots of the bout. Horn was eventually dropped for the first time in round nine with an overhand left. After he got back up, Crawford landed a series of hard shots that caused referee Robert Byrd to stop the fight. The official time of the stoppage was 2 minutes and 33 seconds. After the bout, Crawford spoke about his welterweight debut, "Like I told you all before, I'm strong. I was way stronger than him. You all kept telling me how strong he was, so I had to go and show you. I just had to get in the ring and prove it. You saw what I did in there. My power carried up, my physicality. Now I want all the champions at welterweight." Promoter Bob Arum highly praised Crawford and compared him to Sugar Ray Leonard. According to CompuBox stats, Crawford landed 155 of 367 of punches thrown. This included 47 power shots landed over the final two rounds. Horn, on the other hand, landed just 58 of 257 punches thrown (23%). Crawford earned a career-high $3 million purse and Horn also earned a career-high purse of $1.75 million.

Yes. I am from Australia and I can't forget how he won against Manny. It wasn't fair. However I do believe that it didn't hurt Manny in any way in his career and Jeff got a career change from being a teacher to a boxer. Good for his family.

He threw more punches than Pac, yes you can argue they didn't land, but Pac didn't take that fight the way he did against Margo, he lay on the ropes and got man handled. Stop only watching round 9 which is a 10-9 round scored only, Horn chopped him up!

Yeah,Pacquiao got robbed by the headbutts and elbows.If Horn wanna do those,then do it on the UFC or on One Championship.
In this fight, Jeff Horn tried the same dirty antics against Manny Pacquiao: lunging forward to risk clash of heads; holding around the neck and hitting; elbowing, etc, but Terrence Crawford was quick to neutralize Horn's moves. I would have like the referee to allow the fight to go on so that Crawford won by an indisputable knock out. In that sense, Crawford would have done Manny Pacquiao a favor by soundly knocking out Horn, in the same manner as Mike Tyson avenged Muhammad Ali by knocking out Larry Holmes. That would have been a comparison.
This is the literal definition of someone getting whooped. 😂

It’s crazy that pacquiao landed 182 total punches, compared to Jeff horns 92. And manny also landed more power punches and out punched Jeff Horn in 11 of the 12 rounds. Statistically manny should’ve won comfortably

💯💯💯 I’ve been saying this since the Horn fight. Crawford hasn’t shown his footwork in all of his fights but Horn and Gamboa He could’ve made a lot of other fights easier on himself

Whenever I need to let some steam out...I watch this fight....when punch punch clinch are no longer effective......he became a punching bag. One of the top 5 fights I watch all time.
That straight left at the end of the 8th was nasty
Great fight but stopped too soon. As hard as Crawford had to work, he deserved to finish Horn better than he did.
Never really liked Jeff Horn, guess the only positive remark I can give is he took his punishment well! Crawford just outboxed him with speed, accuracy, stamina and power, end of story.

As an Aussie, I was never really a horn fan either. But he took a good beating here, lasted longer than most would have. Bud too good though

This was my first time seeing the great TBC in action. Im Australian so it was sad to see him massacre our boy but I was very impressed and have been a fan ever since. What a fighter.

Crawford would've made Manny look real bad. Which is why Pacquiaos handlers refused Arums attempts over the years to make the fight. Then Manny cherry picked Horn (30 to 1 Favorite?) and it was only poetic justice that he lost his title(though dubious, horn gave him hell). Crawford didn't lose a single second against the same opponent.
