They have the 5.5 inch Puukko available:$28. Their excellent sheath is another $30 or so, if you want it (it is very well made and worth twice as much). I think this knife is one of the most incredible values out there. Add in a Skrama and you are set.

Yes definitely, best knife I've ever had as a fixed blade that is just tough as hell like a little Rambo bush knife.

Thanks Ben. The first Jaakaripuukko I got was received in a literally water soaked box. The knife was badly rusted, and the sheath was very nasty. After contacting the company, they agreed to sent me a second one, and told me to keep the first. That is good customer service. I cleaned the first one up as best I could, and cleaned and treated the leather. Had to re-profile the edge as it was pitted from the rust. I added a slight convex to the scandi, and it turned out very nice. I'm giving the new one to my son for Christmas. I like this knife very much, and would also suggest it to anyone who doesn't want to spend a ton of money for a heavy use belt knife.

I'd likely look at the shipper- mine arrived in pristine shape- it does however ship in a box big enough to put 6 of them in.😜 I don't know how they shipped it all the way to Chicago for $10. Great value all around!

I've heard that some of the Scandinavian Military Forces use this knife because the Finns made it to be used in the Winter with Heavy Gloves. Give it another test in February with Gloves on. Think you might like it.

Pay attention to the line on the webpage that says arriving on day 121 or something like that...it's accurate and i had no trouble snagging mine as soon as they hit. Just start at Jan. 1st and count the days forward to figure the date out. Must be some Finnish thing.😜 You will never go wrong with one of these- i got the 140 and it's a beast. Basic, yes but comes with one of the best sheaths on any knife I own- really a tremendous value.

Owned both the Terävä Jääkäripuukko 110 & 140. Good knives for sure although a little crude. A Mora Bushcraft Black/Orange or Mora Garberg are better options if you have the extra cash. Mora's are more refined & their handles are a little bit tougher to hold up in all conditions.

I know im very late but nah dude, the only advantage the Garberg steel has over the jaakaripuukko is that its stainless and therefore more corrosion resistant. In most other aspects the jaakaripuukko is slightly better. And the handle of the jaakaripuukko feels way more comfortable imo and is also pretty much indestructable

That's a good knife. I blackened mine (carbon steel version). Basic knife with no thrills but does the job very well.. I'm looking into getting a stainless 140mm version as well.

Mikael, you are correct. I should have clarified my comment by saying that SOME members carry this knife on a "Personal" basis. Like my friend who carried SOG Seal Pups every time he was deployed to Iraq. Or how I carried a Buck 110 when I was in the US Navy back in the '70s. And of course we all have different sizes of Hands. But after spending 2 Winters on the New Hampshire Coast, I learned to keep my Gloves ON! It's freaking COLD up there! Hope this helps.

Yes they do,pretty popular an great for the price, is why I got one for myself, thanks ben, great review, bro I'm getting doug wilson to make me a dangler kydex sheath made for my knife also were it'll piggyback an 110 also, both would be great together an compliment each other along with the skrama f or the heavier tasks,or just grab a skrama as a one tool option, I just thought the 110i would be a great skinning knife slash food prep knife.

Stephen O'shea oh, friend- go to the trouble to order the sheath- I, unfortunately have no leatherworking skills(borne out by a couple of misadventures with Tandy kits!😂). It is formed perfectly around the liner (imo) and there is not a hint of rattle. I really don't think Im overselling it to say it is damn near perfect-simple but so well executed. atb !

Just like most things as time goes by on a very popular & cheaper item *_it's price goes up._* The Terava Jaakaripuukko is no different as today (2021) it cost much more to buy & (IMO) is not the _"best Puukko for the money"._ Sad.

The "official" "Scandi grind" does not have any secondary bevel. That leaves the edge weak, which is why the official "Scandi" is so =hard to find. The makers know better than the ideologues. NOTE: it worked despite not being a real "Scandi."

I have the Jääkäripuukko 140 and the skrama, Both in carbon steel. I can't praise them enough. Their steel holds up to most super steels because of their excellent heat treatment. If you are even considering buying either of them, just do it. You will NOT regret it. The only thing I can nit pick about them is that their leather sheathes are pricey for how poorly made they are. If you can make your own I would suggest just buying the knife and saving yourself $35 on the sheath.
