This is one incident that Teofimo Lopez could look back on to with bitter thoughts of what he did wrong in his losing fight against a 13-1 underdog. He did not make mistakes in his fight, but his loss was just a realization of what his ability was against a better fighter.

This was so good, best presser I've seen in many years. I knew the result of the fight but I will watch it back again now. Kambosos is exemplary as a professional but also Lopez energy is funny and he's a pretty good talker.

I have a few questions, 1) what happened to the 1st round KO ? 2) what happened to humbling George? 3) what happened to the Lomachenko rematch? 4) what happened to taking on Haney? And to López Sr, what happened to your son not being beatable? Truth is, these are all rhetorical. The fact still remains that when you speak God's name in vain, there are great consequences, much greater than what one thinks he is. He WILL humble ANYONE and at ANY time. I have nothing but empathy for Teofimo and hope he can get past the examples that have been set before him. I believe his father is more a hindrance than a positive influence. As much as I agree taking the Lords name in vain is one of the great sins the only reason Lopez lost this fight was his preparation and skills. He gets hit too much and he has a shithead in the corner giving him advice. At one point he was so confused as to what to do he just decided to tell his kid that he was doing well even though he was losing rounds. The commentators on the Spanish net work you could hear them saying he’s not doing well even though I don’t speak Spanish.

One thing I noticed when they faced off at the end is Teo realizing how serious Kabosos is. This isn't just a pay day for him. He wants and really believes he can win and that's what you need to win. That's one of the reasons Shakur beat Herring so easily because Herring didn't believe in himself. He was scared to fight back. Only one round he fought but other than that he shelled up like a turtle. You won't win that way. It doesn't matter how decorated someone is they breath the air as you and if you really want it you can accomplish anything.

The difference in the clothing apparel showed that one came for business and the other came to play 😂

I had never even heard of George until the Selby fight and I was impressed. Then as soon as I watched the very 1st presser with Lopez and the way he spoke and the way he was so confident, I just knew he was going to win. If I wasn't a recovering gambler then I would have put some good money on George.... still I'm just glad he won and shut the Lopez's up 🥊😆

I love the father talking because I love seeing how protective he is of his boy. Teo is still going to smash this dude. He's getting sacrificed to the boxing Gods. This guy hasn't fought anyone legitimate to even be fighting for all those belts. Just look at Kam's record and the guys he fought. This fight is a tune up for Teo.

He’s also someone that shouldn’t be underestimated from the training footage I’ve seen and heard of. Also, the dad being disrespectful thing is a no go for me. One, it makes it basically a 1v2 press which isn’t fair or cool. Two, the son always gets butthurt because the other fighter talks back to the dad, but what’s he supposed to do? Just let him talk shit? Lol family is usually something fighters keep out of shit talk and you can’t do that with the father talking shit. It’s corny to me but to each their own
