    Good collab. I think the current Pro Staff 97 V13 may become a pro stock in the future. It's very customizable. After adding weight to the handle and tip, it's the best mid plus racquet I've ever used.

    I second Michelle's emotion on the 2015 Pro staff 97 (non- RF). I just got one and it's excellent. The words that come to mind are "power and feel." I hit a demo of the v13 (non-RF) and it's blindfolded it would hard to tell them apart. Also, recently got a Steam 100 and it's just fun, whippy, and has really nice spin, especially for a 16x20 pattern.

    to be very honest wilson listened and released their H22 in blade pro. It is an absolute gem of a racquet, a bit stiffer than my old H22 but I am so happy to get the new ones. Does it help ? YES. Do I go on ATP tour because of it ? of course not , no one expect that.

    Wow, awesome to see TN hanging with TW racket gurus Troy & Michelle as was a very interesting & easy listen. Re: Head PT 280/630 would be nice if Head issued a commemorative 25th Anniversary GUGA PT 280/630 in 2022 for GUGA's 97 initial French Open slam @ Roland Garros. As I recall Head previously issued a 25th Anniversary commemorative Agassi Head Radical (Bumble Bee) so would be very cool to get a comparable issue for GUGA. I mean he was playing the stock paint job cosmetics of that frame back in 97 as a relative unknown @ Roland Garros before his incredible run to win the championship. I've emailed Head requesting them to consider & make it happen if possible. Jonas - you obviously have some excellent direct contacts w/top Head mgmt. (as evidenced by your recent post of your visit to their headquarters (in Kennelbach Austria)) so if you might also ping them to consider - who knows with TN making a request maybe it actually gets considered & done (as presumably my request won't get the time of day, ha ha). When I think of the PT 57A (280/630) its GUGA that 1st comes to mind (for me anyway)....

    That imaginary pro stock thing was a fun idea. I would be so down for a 16x19 98 Gravity Pro!

  • @cesarpahl4987
    @cesarpahl49872 жыл бұрын

    I played with gravity pro for a year, loved the feel but it lacked power and spin for my taste, I now play with the speed youtek IG 315 16x19 from 2011, same mold as the gravity but a tiny bit longer 27.25 The launch angle suits better my play style and it is more powerful than the gravity pro. Lead at 3-9 and 10-2 and I would not change this racket for anything else. I am not surprised gravity line is a copy of those speed MPs, what a racket.

    Troy...I am interested in your choice of Hyper G (I do like it) in the Boom Pro..why not use a Head string...and....I had a quick hit with the Boom Pro and liked it..how would you compare with the Extreme Tour (my current racquet)

  • @tenniswarehouse

    @tenniswarehouse

    2 жыл бұрын

    I tend to like Hyper-G in most of the racquets that I play with, as it is my favorite string, and feels predictable and familiar to me. That said, if I were to use a Head string, I am a big fan of the Lynx Tour (I prefer the Champagne color the most). I can go from Hyper-G to Lynx Tour and find pretty similar characteristics. Its been a little while since I hit with the Extreme Tour, but from what I recall the Boom Pro feels a bit more solid (maybe partly due to the extra 5 grams), and I felt slightly more connected to the ball. The Extreme Tour felt a bit more maneuverable in stock form, and maybe a bit more energy return. Troy, TW

    And the elephant in the room is the Djokovic PT346 radical. once again we are casual players and do not want to use it on tour or anything. But we thought it would be a more honest approach by Head to release Djokovic racquet rather than a hollow speed paintjob.

    I think the average rec player really, really underestimates how important it is to have a racquet and string set up that's right for them and they have no idea how the correct racquet and strings would help their game and their enjoyment of tennis. I often see many people I play with just pick up whatever they have on hand and some of their racquets are true crap, either way too heavy for them, or too light, or just worn out, older models of strange sticks (as long as they see a Wilson, Head, or Babolat logo, they think, "must be good"), and don't get me started about strings. PLEASE, friends, don't let friends play with 5-10-year-old strings (no joke!).

    @Thea Webster, Sounds like a great idea, but yea, we are countries away from each other and chats like these always are a great way to connect. We have sister companies in Europe and Australia and always find time to chat via conference calls like this. But, if we had unlimited travel funds and hotels all over the world to stay at and could do all our work remote...maybe :) Michelle, TW
