    And the award goes to Rafa. What a phenomenal player mentally. I mean, how can you not have smashed a single racket in your entire career. It might not win him the most grand slams, but it will for sure win him the tests of life.

    You probably played tennis / watched it when it wasn't a full professional sport - where kids start training from 4yrs old, have a team of 30+ staff, sponsorship companies putting pressure on you to perform, as well as earning millions of dollars. The pressure to perform is so high, and all of these players push themselves at 99.5% of their effort for 2-4 hours in a match. So I can empathise with them. So long as they don't injure the crowd, staff, or purposefully injure their opponent, docking points, games and matches are sufficient.

    9:25 i know this is a famous tsitsipas blow up but look at the way his dad reacts. He pretends his own son hurt him after not hitting him at all. This might not look like much but imagine the lessons he taught his son when he was growing up, being a father watching your son in an emotional moment. It's no coincidence tsitsipas is as bratty, dramatic, and self-privileged as he is. As jacked up as it sounds, I hope he gets some space from his dad. Or, his dad learns how to control his emotions, as it has been diminishing his potential for years. I'd just like to point out that I've never been the biggest tsitsipas fan, in case the few people that read this are curious about my rational.

    At 08:00 nadal should lose that point, because he raised his hand before the referee sait "out ", in other words he asked for a challenge before the referee sait "out", so it doesn't matter what the referee sait.

  • @Absolutepower7

    @Absolutepower7

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hmm that does make sense you’re right but why would you challenge something that hasn’t been called? He raised his hand to challenge what? The ref didn’t call anything. He said “out” afterwards. It’s a strange one.

    Nope, When Rafa raised his hand, the referee responded without out, implying that he was corresponding to Rafa's call, he was in no regards challenging, and also he returned the ball.

  • @matonatomic

    @matonatomic

    Жыл бұрын

    That's a great pick up - well spotted. So for the rest of the replies - as soon as Rafa thinks that the ball is out and wants to challenge a 'no call' (which means the linesperson thought it was in), then the point stops. Now if the Umpire didn't call it out, then Rafa's challenge would go ahead, and as the ball is in, Rafa would lose the point - irrespective if he returns the ball in. But because the umpire calls the ball out (over-ruling the linesperson - irrespective if he saw Rafa's raised hand), then Berdych challenged the Umpire's call - and has his challenge upheld. Rafa's complaint that he hit the ball back in play is moot - as he was the original challenger. The Umpire's explanation to Rafa as to why he lost the point was wrong though. If Rafa didn't put his hand up in the beginning, then the point would be replayed.

    Los jugadores, no deben molestarse con las raquetas y y romperlas, ellos tienen que controlarse su enojo los están viendo muchos países y el público que está ahí, merced respecto, ellos pagan para ver un juego no para ver sus enojos por jugar mal y los jueces es una falta de respecto también como le hablan allos poner mas multas mas fuerte, queremos verlos jugar no sus mala conductas queremos respecto🤗🙏

    Seems like tennis players don’t like they tennis racket now-a-days. Bad temper has no place on the tennis court; penalty has to be very severe if they do so.
