I love your genuine reaction to this. I felt the same way. My chin was on the floor for days afterward. Actually it still is. I revisit this performance often. Didn't seem like an awards show performance, felt like a concert. One of the best, if not THE best, I've ever seen/heard. I was already a JT fan but this put Chris on the map. Now he's my favorite artist of all time. Talk about a soulful performance, check KZread for a video (I think was on a cruise ship or something) when he was with the Steel Drivers. This was way before Chris donned his signature hat and contacts. He's wearing glasses and a black tee, sitting down, singing his heart out. Song is called 'Fool Me Again '... He looked like one of my cousins Dungeons and Dragons playing buddies back then (no offense to them, or Chris). Like I said, no Don Williams inspired hat or tailored jackets or anything. Just Chris, and his pure, core awesomeness. He's truly amazing, as a singer, musician, songwriter, entertainer, friend, Husband and dad (according to the people who know him, on those last 3). A great dude, and I feel that we're all blessed by his presence. Thank you for getting outside your wheelhouse and giving Chris a chance. I truly enjoyed your review (this one and the TN Whiskey one). I was born and raised in TN, and for those that don't know, most people are referring to Jack Daniels when speaking of TN Whiskey. Also, in JT's song 'Drink You Away ' I've heard people repeat the lyric as "I've tried Jack, I've tried Gin ..." but it's not that. It says "I've tried Jack, I've tried Jim (as in Jim Beam whiskey) and all of their friends..." Play on words, using Liquor names as first names of " friends "... Calling these liquors with proper names" friends". Sorry if I'm over explaining. I have ADHD and have trouble staying focused. I apologize. I subscribed to your channel today and look forward to seeing more of your content. Thank you!

Loved your reaction dude! I watched this on TV the night it aired. I paused the dvr, called my wife downstairs and said.... "I think I just saw the best live performance I've ever seen." We go to about 20-30 concerts a year together and re-watched it 5 times back to back right then. Unreal.
Y'all THEY WAS HAVIN A PARTY UP IN THERE with that performance and the PLACE was LIT...🔥🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤❤ They done took us ta CHURCH y'all!!! Morgane is Chris's wife singing with them and she's PHENOMENAL❣❣❣ Great reaction...thanks y'all❣ BTW one of the reasons I like and respect y'alls channel so much...y'all DON'T feel the need to be droppin the *f* bomb!! JT = versatile and diverse!! Blessings 👏💙👏 #diehardchrisstapletonfan #permanentstankface #stapletonishisowngenre #bestcmaperformanceeva
Stapleton's wife is killing it too
Let's not forget Morgan Stapleton.
Thank you, great reaction. Chris,s wife was singing with them too. Look up Vince Gill and Carrie Underwood doing How great thou art.
The organist took it all the way down the road to church!
This is also why the CMAs are awesome. ALL of the audience views, are other world famous country artists. They root for each other, and genuinely enjoy their fellow artists music.
This was the collaboration none of us knew we needed. EPIC. FLAWLESS. PERFECTION.
This performance was the first time I heard Chris Stapleton sing. Fell in love with him and his wife Morgane. Glad you liked it so much!
That's one of those videos you don't want to end... Love stuff like that
After seeing this performance I bought Justin's track🔥 Love this song!
Justin's band, The Tennessee Kids. honest to god makes justin 6000 times better than he already was. And that says a lot bc he already is amazing.
I’ve watched the video dozens of times, and just about every reaction to it... And yours fits exactly what I was feeling.... no live performance could be better than this... maybe equal to, but not better.
This song wasn’t written by Chris Stapleton. It was originally done by David Allen coe many years ago.

@@ramonaestrada601 Coe didn’t write it... a pair of songwriters named Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove wrote it.
Still THE best live performance at an award show I’ve seen
JT is todays Elvis & MJ...….Chris Stapleton is his own legend in the making Fam....
These two feed off each other!!!! Hell yeah!!!
Love the fact you picked up on the organist!!!!

Yessssssss
Love it, they each took the other to a whole other level!!
My favorite live performance of all time!!
Some said that Justin couldn't hang with Chris. They BLEW THE ROOF OFF!
Just absolutely LOVE your reaction to this one. Although I agree with some of the other comments, you need to give props to Morgane Stapleton too. Going over to your reaction to "Say Something" next. Can't wait to see what you do with that one. LOL Thanks Tae for doing this.
@10:55 i half expected JT to break out a "bring it on down to Liquorville!"
Seeing them sing those runs live is pretty magical.
Sing it Chris.. hold my drink! WOW!!!
Morgan is the Strawberry wine that makes Chris Stapleton the Brown liquor smooth. Justin is Miller lite
David Allen Coe actually was the first to sing Tennessee whiskey back in the early 70's...but loved your video and Chris and Justin friggin rocked this!!
Tennessee Whiskey is actually a cover from David Allan Coe...but Chris made it his for sure!
This was the CMA'S ( country music awards). Justin is from Memphis,Tennessee, & he grew up singing in a baptist church.

actually his father was the choir director in that Baptist church
I’ve watched this so many times. It still amazes me!!! Has to be in top 3 award show performances of all time.
You are the FIRST reaction of many that I've seen to mention the organist. I LOVE IT. I subscribed for that alone. ❤️
Justin Timberlake birth place is Memphis TN , he grew up with soul and he let's everyone know where he came from -- he's very proud
literally the BEST CMA performance ....evaaaaa...thanks for showing and lovin' it!! welcome to the joy...:)
Justin Timberlake is effortlessly cool

So true !
Loved your reaction. The CMAs was when I first discovered Chris Stapleton and was awestruck. Listened to every Chris Stapleton song after this performance. Love the duet he did with Little Big Town. They are a country band in the audience. They too are Stapleton fans. Awesome reaction!
First time checking your reactions out. Loved it. I've seen quite a few reactions to this performance. You are the first to react to the organ. I didn't even really until you mentioned it. It added another layer to the performance. It was like having church! New subscriber!
I read an article about this performance. The article said that they hired a gospel band to play in the background. So you hit the nail on the head. This is one of the best performances I've ever heard!

This is Justin Timberlake band. Their name is Tennessee Kids. They do all his shows
I wish I was there lol best performance ever
I thoroughly ENJOYED watching your reaction to this video. YOU ROCKED it, young man!. Props to you from an old woman. I loved it. Thank you. You made my day. I'm not a big country fan either. But this was excellent. Such talent! And it reminded me of some church elements too. ;)
There is a song by Justin Timberlake ft. Chris Stapleton called Say Something. It's amazing! Amazing location for the video & they did it in one take.
Two thumbs up! Best CMA performance ever! Phenomenal vocals and band.
'Let's get this 500 likes' - proceeds to double that as of today. Great reaction, love your appreciation for all the parts and musicians and I did not know he had a church band but that made so much sense when I listened again. Best of so many genres here. Big thumbs up, wish I could like it twice.
"Tennessee Whiskey" does not need a remix because it is perfect the way it is!
I love seeing everyones reaction to Chris. Once in a generation talent.
This song as performed by Chris Stapleton *IS* itself a remake of the George Jones classic from about 40 years ago. And I'm also on the the Morgane bandwagon. That lady is an AWESOME singer herself. She makes that harmony.
This performance in 2015 is what introduced me to Chris Stapleton. Where had I been? 🤷♂️ Love his voice. When I first saw him I was like who’s this guy? And then he started singing... wow... And Justin Timberlake can literally do anything… he’s like king Midas… Everything he touches is gold
I have been a Jt fan for 15 years yes I was a boy band junkie and jt was always so great ... but then you add some of chris Stapleton soul and you have not only music but a life changing experience !!
8:30 - yeah, that band is kick a**. That horn section, that organ - the entire package - they just killed it. You can tell they enjoy playing together, too.
That band is JT’s band. The Tennessee Kids. They are killer musicians! JT did drink you away as a bonus track or the last song on the 20/20 experience.
Nice to know I'm not the only one to involuntarily tear up from insanely amazing music!!!
Justin is from Memphis and grew up in a Baptist church. Drink you away is his song
Brilliant. Love both of them two different talents coming together.! 🎶🎶🎶🎶💙💙💙💞
Thank you!
So much SOUL, LOVE THIS song!!!❤️❤️
As a new subs, I’m so happy you had so much fun with this!
Look who showed up to the country music awards!! this is what you get a country music concert Bubba!! Your reaction was basically mine when I seen this live happening I seriously quit breathing and I felt like my stomach is been doing sit ups for a week seriously oh my shit goes sideways I put this performance song secondly thank you for playing both songs because I keep forgetting the second song on a lot of these sites if you willSo thank you for not chopping it up I’m just playing the first half because the people who just seen the first half on a reaction they missed the whole entire ending👏🏻👏🏻
Never saw this performance because you don't watch the Country Music Awards. By far one of the best live performances ever.
You’re the only person who commented on that great organ. Thank you
To say I got goosebumps is....I...there are no words for that
Definitely the BEST CMA performance of all time! Brought tears & gave me goose flesh ❤
Best reaction I've seen from you. And of all the reactions I've seen, you are the only one to acknowledge Chris Stapleton's powerful, straight from a higher power, primal scream towards the end of the song. As hard as I'm, concerned it made the whole song. You're also the only one who pointed out the church influences. JT is not above finding a choir or church organist to enhance his performance so I definitely give you props for that.
Drink you away is Justin's song and Tennessee whiskey is david allen coe's song that Chris redid I love this performance💕
Just an epic performance I just found this past year myself and I gotta say I've been hooked ever since!!! Check out Justin & Chris song Say Something I think you'll really enjoy it!! Thanks for a great reaction you got a new sub for their this one!!!!!
The band is Justin's and they are called The Tennessee Kids. They are AMAZING and honestly help make Justin what he is. I'm sure he would agree 100%.
Wow! Church, blues, country, the holy spirit. Them boys & Morgane saaaang. Justin's band is all that. They took us to church!
They toe it up!! I have never seen that good of a performance on any awards show ever!
I remember watching it live. Unforgettable.
One of the best CMA performances EVER!
I've probably watched this 100 times and will NEVER GET TIRED OF IT! I love your videos man. I just found you tonight! NEW SUBSCRIBER HERE!! You were feeling the same way I felt the first time i heard all of chris's songs. If you haven't heard "fool me again", I suggest watching it, if only for yourself. It's actually kinda blugrassy/soul ish! But i promise you HE WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!! KEEPEM COMIN!!! GREAT STUFF!
Can you imagine seeing that live??? I would have died!!!
Nashville was blown AWAY
Thank You for that comment Tai!!! I've been waiting for someone to make that note about the chord progressions and basically ALL of the instrumental on Drink You Away! You don't just get that in any "regular" church service. It makes me miss the music from my former home church; that was us every Sunday. I return to this every so often since the original performance just for the appreciation. They did that!
J Timb and C Stape are great together. Chris Stapletons wife sings backup vocals and she is amazing. Saw Chris in Grand Rapids,Michigan in November of 2017 at Van Andel Arena. A truly Amazing concert!
Love this performance…love your vibe church boy❤️😃
Loving your reaction. The best performance....ever!

Welcome to being a Traveller- (a Chris Stapleton fan). This was on the Country Music awards.
Folks may not know it but that band was in the spirit 😂
