My 21 year old grandson told me a couple of years ago that I had been the best Mamaw ever, and he would make sure his younger brother always knew I was special! I'm 72 and Connie Francis was and still is my favorite singer of all times.

Anything Connie Francis touched turns to gold with her voice. I'm 48 years old and my mother played Connie all the time when I was young. That's how I was introduced to Connie Francis. I lost my mom unexpectedly in 2017, which devastated me, and left me with a huge hole in my heart. Losing her killed a large part of myself. It still hurts so much today that she's gone. Listening to Connie at times makes me feel like my mom is still here with me. The voice of Ms. Francis uplifts me and makes me feel whole. Even if it is for only a few minutes. I shut my eyes and feel like everything is right with the world again, and mom is here with me. Love you mom, and thank you for everything. Words cannot express how much love i have for you, or how grateful I am for you. I thank God every day you were my mom, and in my life. You were also my best friend in the world. Thanks for introducing a child in the 1970s to Connie Francis. And thank you Connie Francis for your beautiful, golden voice. It touches my soul and brings tears to my eyes.

Same here my friend , I am 70 years old and I remember those days in the 50s. When my old mother sang the same song nostalgia at its best, Connie Francis , ruby murry Jim reeves bless them all. Sunday, lunch, Sunday, lunch, windows, steamed up in our council house, listening to the Billy Cotton Band show, the navy lark , and jimmy Clitheroe. And then a good old roast beef, Sunday dinner. Happy days😊

This is the kind of background music that steals your heart, soft and melodious without drowning the singer's voice. The most beautiful rendering of the song.

Superb recording. Just the faintest echo or something in there that enhances it. Connie even beat the legendary Patsy Cline on this one, which I reckon is the only song Patsy played second fiddle.

Connie Francis is hard to beat on anything she recorded. That haunting voice just stays with you.

This was my uncles favorite song he has been gone many years at his funeral all the old hymns were played precious memories how great thou art and then the organist played Tennessee waltz not a dry eye in the house.

Took me straight back to the 50s, what a class singer Connie F was.

She has such a ring to her voice just absolutely beautiful

She was the darling of my teenage time. Still love her beautiful voice.

janyce Janota i am 21 years young now and this is the first time i've heard this song because of nat king cole's fascination and I am instantly inlove with this.

I remember my girlfriend asking me if I would like to meet the guy she planned to marry….of course I said yes! I met him, and we celebrate our 58th wedding anniversary in October 2024! ❤. This song sums it up!

As a little girl I used to listen to a record album my mom had ordered from television called “The Fabulous 50’s” which seemed so ancient then but now I realize it was only ten years or so before I was born lol. Anyway I memorized several of the songs on that album, including this one, and enjoyed singing them so much. I now realize how truly beautiful this piece of music is and how exquisite is Connie’s voice ❤

Me standing on my dads feet dancing around the kitchen one summer morning after church . he sings this song but he just cant quite sing the top note but never changes the key. We dance around until my dad says his feet hurt then I go to my room to change before watching TV with him .I miss him so much

@@marcusblackwell2372 Annette started her career on the Mickey Mouse club show. We were all kids at the same time. She evolved into an Italian teen babe in many of the early 60s beach movies. For us 16 to 18 year old boys who had seen her from the start, she was it.

This song is so romantic and beautiful. It reminds me of the good old days of youth. Thanks for posting it.

In 1959, I was 4 years old. After Korean war, South Korea was in chaos at that time. Somehow, I listened Connie's songs from radio. What an amazing Warp of time.

My aunt used to play this record of Connie Francis when I was just a little girl back in the late fifties. I still love it and play it often. Good music never goes out of fashion.

I like pop music but I wish this style of singing/songwriting was still popular today. A raw, pure voice like that is so beautiful. Not to mention the instruments!
